NUS assistant law professor withdraws compensation to taxi driver he bashed up after being sentenced to 4 months' jail.

The thug, Sundram Peter Soosay, is a Singapore PR, originally from Malaysia.

The incident happened on Christmas in 2013.

Sundram was reported to have vomited in the cab, tried to avoid paying the cab fare and attacked the 70 year old taxi driver, Mr Sun from behind, after the latter asked him for payment.

The attack left Mr Sun incapacitated for 17 days.

In addition, Sundram's withdrawal of the compensation clearly shows he is not remorseful.

Despite the incident, Sundram Soosay remains employed at NUS with his profile still listed on the university's website:

Are you suggesting that he gets deported without serving his sentence?

He should serve his sentence and he will have to pay the cost of incarcerating him. Upon release, he should leave immediately; from Changi Prison to airport and escorted onto the plane.

But the PAP won't do that. Why? God knows. Guess, a bunch of crooks running the government has sympathies for foreign criminals.

He withdrew compensation and yet he wanted to appeal his light sentence. A proper sentence befitting his crime should be at least 2 years plus six stroke of the cane. He is already lucky the court is too lenient to him.

Take a look at the elderly taxi driver in the hospital bed and the extent of his injuries is obvious.

By lodging his appeal, he thinks the appeal court has no bite and will let him off. Screw this scum and the court should enhance his sentence plus caning to deter all foreigners from committing crimes in the island. Send him back to where he came from. The paps should not kowtow to this kind of scum.
