NSF admits sex with minor

A YOUTH admitted to having sex with his underage girlfriend whom he had befriended through social networking website Facebook. Barely two months after they came to know each other, the 20-year-old full-time national serviceman went to the then 13-year-old girl's home and engaged in consensual sex. The victim, now a 14-year-old secondary student, later told her father and a police report was lodged. Community Court judge Toh Tze Bian called for a pre-sentence report on Nov 23. The parties cannot be named to protect victim's identity. For having sex with a girl under 16, he can be jailed for up to five years and fined up to $10,000.
