Not from China, not from Malaysia

Was in Chinatown this afternoon. One mua ji seller keep repeating that their mua ji are from Taiwan, not China, not Malaysia. As a local, I feel quite uncomfortable and embarrassed. How do you feel if you will a tourist from China & Malaysia. Don't you feel offended?
Aiya, says your mua ji originate from Taiwan enough oredi mah..
