Motorist arrested over attempted bribe
A MOTORIST has been arrested for trying to bribe two Traffic Police officers.
At about 10.20pm on Friday, Staff Sergeant Mohd Rizal and Corporal Nur Mohd, who were patrolling the Pan-Island Expressway, stopped the 58-year-old driver near the Clementi Avenue 6 exit on suspicion of drink-driving.
They found he was driving the car without a valid licence and insurance coverage, in addition to suspected drink-driving.
The man offered them about $4,000 in cash to let him off.
