More robberies at lift landings

SEVERAL elderly women have fallen prey to snatch thefts near the lifts of HDB blocks. In one case, a 70-year-old Toa Payoh Lorong 5 resident's gold chain was snatched as she�returned home from the market.
As the elderly woman was waiting for the lift at the ground floor, she saw a tanned-complexioned man loitering near the lift landing. She was not alarmed as the man did not follow her into the lift. But when she stepped out of the lift at the sixth floor, the man grabbed her by the�neck and pushed her to the ground.
She put up a struggle, but the man managed to flee with half of her $1,000 gold chain,�a gift from her husband. The elderly woman has provided a photofit of the culprit. He is believed to be in his 30s to 40s and is about 1.65 to 1.75m tall.
