Prior to Motorola's event on July 28, where the company is expected to unveil the new Moto G smartphone, more images of the device are being leaked online.

There have already been several leaked images of the Moto G, despite the device not being officially unveiled yet by Motorola. High-definition press renders of the smartphone were previously leaked by TechnoBuffalo.

Mobile Syrup, on the other hand, was able to acquire an image of the 2015 Moto G with a protective film on its screen. The film revealed that the 2015 Moto G will have an IPx7 Ingress rating, which means that the smartphone can survive being submerged in water up to a depth of more than 3 feet.

Technology news website Laptop Media did not acquire leaked images. Instead, it was able to get its hands on the 2015 Moto G itself, and has uploaded several images of the smartphone.

Based on these images of the 2015 Moto G, the device bears a striking resemblance to its 2014 model. The rear of the device has a metal strip running through the middle, where the smartphone's camera, flash and brand name are located. The rear cover is also seen to be more visibly textured.

Another set of images was leaked by another technology news website, Pocket Now. The images, posted by a Brazilian retailer and promptly taken down, show an unboxing of the 2015 Moto G.

The posted unboxing images reveal a protective film on the screen similar to the images posted by Mobile Syrup. However, the film on the smartphone from the newly leaked images is different, with the new icons stating the device will have 16GB of internal storage, dual microSIM capability and a digital TV tuning feature. It is not determined, however, if the dual microSIM and digital TV tuning features are standard ones or if they can only be found in versions of the device for certain regions.

Other contents of the box of the 2015 Moto G aside from the smartphone itself include the charger, a USB cable, an audio cable extender and a pair of Motorola shells in green and blue colors. It is not clear whether the 2015 Moto G featured in the leaked images is the final retail version or a generic unit, as there have also been rumors that customers can order the device through Motorola's Moto Maker customization process.
