Insensitive pricks rear their ugly head in wake of missing MAS plane incident

COMMENT: The mysterious disappearance of flight MH370 has brought Malaysians and world citizens united in hope and prayers. We see people from around the world uniting across racial and religious divide, to pray for the safe return of 239 people on board the Boeing 777 aircraft.
On the other end of the spectrum are heartless pricks who mock and have fun at the expense of a possible “tragedy”. This type of people need to get their brains (if they have any) checked and overhauled, or better still put to sleep like wild animals gone rogue, as they have nothing much to contribute to society.
Anyone with connection to the Internet and a Facebook account would be aware of news and messages about the flight flooding their newsfeeds. This testing time also brings out the worst in humanity, with the above-mentioned “pricks” spurting their unwanted speculations and comments without a care in the world.
One such prick was a girl named Mary Anne (who looked like in her teens) whose main grievance was not being able to watch other channels, as her parents were tuned in to the news channels for updates on flight MH370.
The insensitive specimen said: “Can you stop posting about MH370? Let them die la.” She went on to add: “Who ask you to travel by MAS when you know that it is a (****) up flight? Serves you right (****) in the flight.”
Another FB user who goes by the name Ramesh KS, hash-tagged MH370 and MAS and said: “Go die lah everyone.” He then said: “Keep clam (misspelled calm) and today my birthday, no time to think this all.” Dude, what has an international crisis got to do with you celebrating your birthday? Has the incident diverted the world’s attention from you on your special day?
Netizen Tony Ng stooped to a new low with his post, saying: “Allah invited them (MH370 passengers) for nasi lemak. He went on with his rants despite criticism from his Muslim friends.
And then there was former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin, who in his tweet suggested that there is a new Bermuda Triangle in Vietnamese waters when commenting on the missing plane.
The tweet immediately received backlash from other Twitter users, who replied and retweeted the insensitive message. Seriously Nizar? The fate of 239 people, including infants, is in question and all you can come up with is a silly joke?
