Aaron Wan-Bissaka: Man Utd sign Crystal Palace defender in £50m deal
By David Ornstein

Aaron Wan-Bissaka played in 35 Premier League matches for Crystal Palace in the 2018-19 season

Manchester United have signed England Under-21 right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace in a £50m deal.
The 21-year-old, who made his first-team debut for Palace last year, has agreed a five-year contract that will earn him up to £80,000 a week.

United are paying £45m up front, making Wan-Bissaka the club's fifth-biggest signing, behind Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Angel di Maria and Fred.
"It's an unbelievable feeling and an honour," Wan-Bissaka said.
Manchester United confirmed the signing on Saturday.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said Wan-Bissaka was "one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League".
He added: "He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further."

The defender is the club's second summer recruit, after Wales international Daniel James, 21, joined from Swanseafor £15m.
United have the option to extend Wan-Bissaka's five-year deal into a sixth year.

Wan-Bissaka, who has been on international duty this month at the European Under-21 Championship, joined Palace's academy when he was 11.

The defender was on £10,000 a week at Selhurst Park, the lowest-paid player in Palace's first-team squad.
His transfer was delayed by final negotiations between the clubs, which ended with the Eagles securing a 10% sell-on clause if Wan-Bissaka leaves United for more than £50m.

"We are immensely proud to have been part of Aaron's development as a player and a person," Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish said.

Meanwhile, United are confident of agreeing a new long-term contract with striker Marcus Rashford.
The 21-year-old's current deal expires in 2020 and talks over an extension have been held over a number of months.
BBC Sport understands significant progress has been made over terms that would earn Rashford a substantial increase on his present salary, which has been reported to be around £80,000-a-week.

Marcus Rashford: Man Utd striker signs new contract to 2023

_107660033_rashfordbodygetty.jpg

Manchester United manger Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Marcus Rashford is a "shining example of the club's academy talent"

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has signed a £200,000-a-week contract to commit him to the club until June 2023, with the option to extend for a further year.

The England forward, 21, joined United as a seven-year-old and rose through the youth ranks, making his senior debut in February 2016, aged 18.
"This club has shaped me, both as a player and as a person," Rashford said.
"So it is such a privilege every time I get the opportunity to wear the shirt."
"Manchester United has been everything in my life since I arrived here at the age of seven.
"I will be giving everything I have to help get this club back to where it belongs and deliver the success that our fans deserve."

Wythenshawe-born Rashford has made 170 appearances for the Reds and won 32 caps for England.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was appointed permanent boss at his former club in March, said Rashford is "one of the most talented English players of his generation".

"He is an outstanding player; blessed with natural pace and energy," Solskjaer added.
Rashford is the third piece of major business for Solskjaer in the close-seaon transfer market, following the arrivals of Swansea and Wales winger Daniel James and right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Man Utd boss Solskjaer tells Woodward to complete third signing this week

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has told Manchester United to sign Sean Longstaff in a £25m deal this week.

Solskjaer is desperate to make the Newcastle midfielder his third summer signing.

Reports claimed United would make an opening bid of around £15m for Longstaff.

But Solskjaer wants the deal to be completed in rapid time so Longstaff can join-up with the United squad ahead
of leaving for their pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East on July 8.

United have also opened talks with Sporting Lisbon about signing Bruno Fernandes and are considering joining the race to sign unsettled Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.
But Starsport understands Old Trafford bosses have made Longstaff their priority - and will press ahead with securing a deal in the coming days.
United completed the £50m signing of England U21 sensation Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the weekend.

The full-back has followed Seansea winger Daniel James to Old Trafford as Solskjaer looks to rebuild his squad with young British talent.
Solskjaer has sent his scouts to watch Longstaff in action at least tree times since succeeding Jose Mourinho in December.

Longstaff, 21, burst onto the scene last season and had been tipped to earn a first call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad.
But his breakthrough campaign was cut short by injury in March.

He appeared to rule out a summer move at the start of the month when he reiterated his desire to stay at St James' Park.
Longstaff said: "If someone told us at the start of the season that by the end of it you'd be linked with these teams, I'd have laughed at them. But it's nice, it's flattering."

It is understood the departure of Rafa Benitez as boss has forced Longstaff into a rethink about his immediate future.

United are also willing to hand him a long-term deal in the region of £75,000-a-week.
United will test the Magpies' resolve with an attractive bid and are confident of landing Longstaff sooner rather than later.

Wan-Bisska will meet his new team-mates for the first time this morning when the United squad report back for pre-season.
Solskjaer wants to hit the ground running after becoming concerned by the fitness levels of his stars last season.
He ordered them all to report back in tip-top condition and will put them through a punishing training regime between now and the start of the new campaign.

Real Madrid desperate to include Gareth Bale in deal
for Manchester United star Paul Pogba as Zinedine Zidane
looks to offload Welshman

  • Real Madrid want to use Gareth Bale in deal to sign Paul Pogba from Man United
  • Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants rid of Bale and is desperate to sign Pogba
  • United want £150m but could be swayed by inclusion of former target Bale
Real Madrid are eager to include Gareth Bale in a potential deal for their No 1 target Paul Pogba.
Zinedine Zidane has made clear his desire to sign Pogba from Manchester United this summer and has urged the club to use their significant pulling power to broker a deal.
However, United are reluctant to sell their prized asset unless their £150million valuation is met - a figure that Madrid have so far baulked at.

According to Marca, Madrid are planning to propose a player-plus cash offer with former United target Bale a player the club are hoping to use to try and sweeten a deal.
United were linked earlier in the summer with a move for Bale but recently have distanced themselves from signing the player.
Zidane has told the Welshman he does not feature in his plans for next season but the forward's future remains unclear with no suitable suitors as things stand.

Pogba is understood to be desperate to move to the Spanish capital this summer but whether or not Bale's inclusion in a deal changes United's stance is yet to be seen.
The 26-year-old's agent Mino Raiola has twice travelled to Manchester to communicate his client's intention to depart England, while Madrid's directors have been met with resistance by United officials.
Pogba is expected to ask boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if he can leave when he returns for pre-season next Friday before submitting a transfer request.

Madrid boss Zidane remains hopeful of securing Pogba's services, which he believes will be key to help transforming his side following last season's trophyless campaign.
The Spanish giants have already splashed out a staggering £344m on new recruitments this summer, but are prepared to delve deeper into their pockets even if they fail Pogba.
Ajax's Donny van de Beek is one of several players who have been identified as a possible alternative for the United star.

Man Utd agree world-record £80m Harry Maguire transfer
with Leicester defender set for medical tomorrow

MANCHESTER UNITED have agreed a world-record £80million deal for Leicester defender Harry Maguire.

The England ace is set to fly to Manchester for his medical tomorrow.

Harry Maguire is heading to Manchester for his medical tomorrow as Man Utd agree a world-record £80m deal with Leicester
SunSport understand that United will pay Leicester £60m for Maguire, 26, with an extra £20m available in add-ons.

And that will see him become the world's most expensive defender, topping the £75m Liverpool forked out on Virgil van Dijk, 28, in 2018.

The Foxes have already found a replacement for their leader with Lewis Dunk, 27, set to join from Brighton in a £45m swoop.

United have beaten their bitter rivals Manchester City to the centre-back's signature.

Both the Premier League champions and the Red Devils have seen their £70m bids rejected by Leicester.

But after Old Trafford chiefs upped their offer, Leicester eventually sanctioned the deal.

That comes just a few days after Maguire angrily accused Leicester of pricing him out of his mega move.

Jose Mourinho had been desperate to sign the centre-back last summer after the former Hull man's performances for England at the World Cup.

Leicester landed the Sheffield man for £17m in 2017 and will make a healthy £43m profit straight away.

LOL, the Xinhua Chicom shills are so retarded.

No footballer would go to China if it were not for the money. Once you move to a Chinese football club, you can kiss the chances of playing for your national team goodbye.... assuming you even had those chances before the transfer.

And pre-season is always about the money, doesn't matter which country hosts the games.

Trust the Chicom propagandists to make an issue out of a non-issue... typical.

No midfield addition.

Man Utd pushing for Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff transfers
as Ed Woodward stays in UK to get deals done

Ed Woodward will remain in the UK as Manchester United push to complete deals for Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff.

The executive vice chairman has decided against joining up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad here in Shanghai – meaning this is the first summer tour he has missed since taking control of the club in 2013.

Man Utd are refusing to walk away from Maguire, despite seeing two bids rejected by Leicester.

Their last offer was around £70million, which is still some way short of Leicester’s asking price of £90m.

With the clubs locked in talks, Woodward is hoping to reach a breakthrough imminently, knowing there are less than three weeks left of the transfer window.

United are also preparing their next move for Longstaff after being stunned by Newcastle’s £50m valuation of the midfielder.

That has not put them off – and they still expect to strike a deal at less than £30m.

Newcastle based their asking price on the £50m United paid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. But given Longstaff has made just nine Premier League appearances, it is felt such comparisons are unrealistic.

Bruno Fernandes is also on United’s radar, but Maguire is the priority.

Solskjaer wanted his transfer business completed in time for the start of pre-season, but on the final leg of their tour to Australia and Asia there are still a number of doubts hanging over his squad.

As well as incomings, there are a host of potential outgoings that need to be determined.

United are prepared to sell Romelu Lukaku for £80m - but Inter Milan’s bid of £54m was rejected out of hand over the weekend.

Solskjaer has six centre backs and will look to sell at least one if Maguire comes in.

Matteo Darmian is also available for £12m, while Alexis Sanchez would be sold if anyone is prepared to meet his salary of around £450,000-a-week.

Meanwhile Paul Pogba’s future remains unclear, but it would take a bid in excess of £150m from Real Madrid for United to consider selling the wantaway midfielder .
