Man jailed for possessing stun guns, devices for taking drugs

SINGAPORE: A man has been jailed two months and fined S$5,000 for possessing two stun guns, as well as devices used to take drugs.
Ong Chin Tat, 46, was convicted on one count of possessing articles intended for consumption of methamphetamine and one count of possessing firearms.
The court heard Ong was travelling back to Singapore via the Tuas Checkpoint on 25 June last year.
During the search conducted by immigration officers, they found his two stun guns in the car.
Ong said his friend had asked him to bring the guns back in return for S$250.
