SINGAPORE - A jobless man who assaulted a police sergeant he bore a grudge against was jailed for four months on Thursday.
Alfian Abdullah, 45, pleaded guilty to punching and kicking Sergeant Ryan Danial Rafiuddin at a coffee shop in Bukit Batok East Avenue 4 on March 10 this year.
The court heard that sometime in 2014, the sergeant - who is attached to Bukit Batok Neighbouhood Police Centre - was on patrol when he checked on a group of suspected drug abusers who were friends of Alfian.
Alfian intervened and but was told to move away. He became offended and went on to harbour a grudge against the cop.
