悲剧发生在昨天上午10点43分，地点在蔡厝港51街第535座组屋。

死者是58岁的吴亚成，生前是一名德士司机，家住9楼。

他的独生女吴思敏（20岁、工艺教育学院学生）今早在殓尸房受访时说，她把鞋子挂在厨房的竹竿上晾，不料其中一只掉进邻居家。

Taxi Driver Got Himself Killed For A $16 Shoe ?

fuck PAP lah...........make peoples' lives so difficult...........they're willing to risk life and limb for $16 shoes.........

The deceased was a taxi driver. I hope he is not Hotbot or Krafty.

Only 16 bucks. One hour of driving can fetch 20 bucks on average, I think. The weak metal rack for clothe hanging in the new gen flats could have given way because of his weight.

According to the account of his daughter, he was on his way (climbing) back (upward) when he fell down to his death.

And he risked his life for a shoe that was a mere 16 bucks ? That was crazy !! I bet he did it without a rope tied to his body.

His wife died a year ago succumbing to breast cancer. Now, his dau is an orphan. :(

Now, his funeral is more expensive than that shoe. :*:

Sometime you cannot trust the reporter. He said "housing loan not fully paid", but for a HDB flat, the lessor normally have to buy HPS which will cover the housing loan in case something happens to him. In this case, there is no longer any need to service the loan as it will be covered by the HPS.
