A man died after he was knocked down by a Porsche driven by a doctor near Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung.
The 2005 Cayenne station wagon, worth about HK$770,000, was being driven by its owner, Dr Yu Chi-hung, 41. It was heading west along Kwai Chung Road when the victim, from Nepal, stepped out from a road divider to cross the street near Container Terminal 4, part of Kwai Tsing Container Terminals, at about 7pm.
The man, believed to be a worker from the nearby terminals, was thrown metres by the impact, and was found lying unconscious in a pool of blood.
He was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was confirmed dead at 7.40pm.
Yu, who said he felt sick after the crash, was also treated at the hospital.
