Man arrested for breaking into casino chip float at MBS

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 35-year-old Singapore Chinese man for breaking into a casino chip float at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) casino.
A police statement said the man stole gaming chips worth over S$140,000 on Monday afternoon.
A sum of S$8,000, which was encashed from the stolen chips, was also recovered.
The man will be charged in court on Wednesday.
If convicted, he faces a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
