Malaysian charged with molest at Istana

SINGAPORE: A 54-year-old Malaysian man was charged with molesting a woman at the Istana during the Hari Raya Puasa open house on August 30.
Woo Fok Meng, alias, Woo Tok Meng allegedly touched and squeezed a 39-year-old woman's right buttock with his right hand at around 4pm that day.
Woo, who stood in the dock dressed in a grey long-sleeved top and dark-coloured trousers, told the court that he intends to engage a lawyer.
His case will be mentioned again on September 13.
If found guilty of molest, Woo can be jailed up to two years and fined or caned.
