Must have the cut off age. If not how the pension function. Many worker are waiting to retire so they can live on pension.
To extend age let worker decide to continue after the retire age or not. Also let the employer have the optional to get rid of under perform employee.
So must have the retirement age put in law.

Yes, it matters. When they set the cut off age, u will collect something every month. Better than nothing, the PAP will end up with a fair amount of your CPF in the end, but not all

basically due to age discrimination in singapore, most people after 40 who lost job cannot find job, because it is cheaper to hire FT with degree than old people.

This is true, but that is why u need the retirement age as early as possible, not as late. For example in your scenario, lets say u get laid off at 45 years old. If the retirement age is 60, u can collect CPF after 15 years. If retirement is 68, u have to wait for 23 years to collect. Big difference when have no income, or reduced income.

Yeah, the average life expectancy has only increased a little bit in the last 5 years, now, this fuckface want to add 3 years to the retirement age. Sinkies have not all of a sudden lived 3 years longer.

The irony is that LBH flew to Finland on taxpayers' money only to return, also on taxpayers' money, to deprive us of our own money till we turn 68.
