Lesson from Hong Kong: Kick out the Vichy ‘Opposition’ Party!

HK people reject the Vichy ‘Opposition’ Party because it continues its appeasement platform with the Chicom.

During last year LegCo election, HK people rejected the Vichy ‘Opposition’ Party, delivering their heaviest defeat in history. According to analysts, these are the reasons:


1. The Vichy Party openly negotiates and compromises with the Chicom against the wishes of every Opposition supporters

-Just as Vichy WP has openly compromise and surrender to the PAP on almost every national issues such as Minister Pay and foreign workers, which is against the wishes of every Opposition supporters.


2. The Vichy Party directly discuss with the Chicom to reform the HK political system with the exclusion of other parties. They refused to admit or clarify their mistake and apologise to the Opposition supporters

- Just as Vichy WP openly discusses about forming coalition regime with the PAP and to exclude other parties from Co-Driving. Likewise, Vichy WP also refuses to clarify or admit their mistake and apologises to the Opposition supporters.


3. The Vichy Party has been sleeping and idling and fails to speak up against the Chicom on major issues.

- Just as Vichy WP has always been sleeping and idling and fails to speak up against the PAP on almost every national issues.


4. The Vichy Party has softened its stance against the Chicom so as not to offend them.

- Just as Vichy WP always has a very softened stance against PAP, never ask hard-hitting question to embarrass the PAP, so that PAP would not retaliate and sue them.


Feeling frustrated, betrayed but emboldened and enlightened, HK people finally rejected the Vichy Party and threw their support to the genuine Free Opposition Parties who dare to stand up against the Chicom.


For the very first time in HK history, the Opposition (including the Vichy Party which finally wakes up their idea after being slapped by the people) has united to table a motion to impeach the Chicom-anointed puppet, as HK people continue their heroic march Towards A First World Parliament!

WP has become every bit as arrogant as the PAP of pre-GE2011. And they have not even achieved anything on the scale of the PAP yet. WP mock all other opposition, and feel that only WP deserves to be in parliament.
They say 41% of pe support them, yet fear that SDP will undercut their votes if there is a 3CF. In other words, not all 41% are WP supporters. Why should supporters of other opposition parties continue to vote WP when they are so arrogant, selfish and mocking of the other opposition parties after WP has been living off other opposition supporters votes?

In this coming PE BE, the Opposition should learn from the HK genuine Opposition and kick the Vichy WP out just as HK’s Vichy Party was kicked out.

HK people no longer afraid to oppose the Chicoms more openly as they turn their support towards the more outspoken Opposition Party……hopefully Singapore people can oppose the PAP regime more openly and support a more outspoken Opposition Party that will truly stand up for them:

With lack of party resources, any grassroot support, any local groundwork and any media coverage (the HK main newspapers is dominated by the pro-Beijing Oriental Daily and the pro-Vichy Apple Daily), HK Opposition appealed directly to the people on national issues. They avoided the local agenda which is more favourable to both pro-Beijing bloc and its Vichy partner as they have larger party administrative resources at their disposal.


For the first time in history, HK Free Opposition have directly, openly attacked the Chicoms and its junior Vichy partner and advocated a genuine regime change, as compared to the previous platform pursued by the Vichy Party.
