A Youth Olympic Games (YOG) bus was involved in a seven-vehicle collision on Friday morning along the PIE heading towards Tuas, before Clementi Avenue 6.

When contacted by Yahoo! SEA, a Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee spokesperson confirmed the accident but said, “The YOG bus was not carrying any passengers and no one was injured.”

According to reports, two SCDF ambulances were sent to the scene.

The pile-up, which was cleared within an hour, caused a massive jam with the accident vehicles occupying two lanes.

The accident was also mentioned on Twitter with user @justdoit tweeting, “YOG bus involved in seven-vehicle accident on PIE towards Jurong. No one injured. Accident caused massive jam but cleared under an hour.”

SINGAPORE : There has been a chain collision involving seven vehicles on the PIE towards Tuas before Clementi Avenue 6 on Friday.

One of the vehicles involved was a YOG bus.

The SCDF received the call at around 8.45am.

It despatched two ambulances.

Police said there were no injuries, and no one was rushed to hospital.

The accident resulted in traffic congestion, with the vehicles involved taking up two lanes.

But it was cleared within an hour. - CNA /ls

Average day accident along any highway....it takes them 4 hrs to clear the jam, sometimes even half a day..and even two sides of the highway are jammed, for busy body stop to look & then cause another accident on the other side..or however in charge is sleeping...YOG they take 1 hr...that is a record...

This proof, how inefficient they are...to make themselves look good they work...other than that...we are not being served...

No limit as my personal observation because some bus travel more than 100km/h.
Bus limit is below 70km/h.

Ya, fully agree with you. 2 ambulances turn up some more with no one injured, compared to the recent accident on West Coast Highway where a few cyclists were injured, this is super efficient.

Really serious accident...they take looonnggg time to appear...the 'mata chia'..by the time the 'bee bo bee bo' appear the traffic jam 20km deep, all four lanes, accident happen along AYE for example..bee bo bee bo come from CGH......no wonder highway accidents death rates so high..

YOG, seven vehicles pile up...no casulties, only bruised egoes...1 hour and clear...

A Youth Olympic Games bus and seven other cars were involved in an accident on Friday at about 8.40am.

The mishap took place along the Pan Island Expressway toward Tuas, just before the Clementi Avenue 6 exit.

However the collisions were so minor that no one was injured, while the vehicles only suffered minor damage.

Some of them had also driven off before authorities arrived.

The bus, which had also left the scene, was originally travelling from Bishan Stadium to the bus holding area in Boon Lay.

Authorities took more than an hour to arrive .
Who are the authorities ? Police say police .

YOG purposely slowly come . If public or CSJ immediately arrive faster than ambulance timing !

We are being screwed by them by the way they work and how they manage it. Everytime a serious accident occur they blocked the accident area like a crime scene and let the vehicles worked their way out of it.

None can think out of the box when managing a massive jam. All kuai kuai do as they are required and nothing more. To them whether you pissed to death in a traffic jam just doesn't matters to them.

Remember the recent jam of Dunearn Road created by an idiot whom forgotten to lower his crane and hit a bridge. 6 hours and no poodles directing traffic when it bottled up right up to Steven's road area.
