By the way, it's atrocious that this Iskander after what he did, he still have the shameless audacity to plead not guilty!

He should emulate that Serangoon murder case's one-eyed dragon be a man own up to your own actions and just plead guilty.

Even that Adrian Lim also pleaded guilty straight from the start.

Police cordon off Kovan double murder house

SINGAPORE: Police cordoned off the house where the alleged Kovan double murders took place for a few hours on Saturday evening.

Car workshop owner Tan Boon Sin, 66, was found dead at home on July 10.

His son Tan Chee Heong, 42, was dragged under a car for one kilometre from the house, before being dislodged outside Kovan MRT station.

Former police officer Iskandar Rahmat was charged on July 15 with the murders of the father-and-son pair.

Police had entered the Tan's house at Hillside Drive on August 24 but it was unclear why they had done so.

When contacted, the police said it was inappropriate to comment as the case is before the courts.

One Hillside Drive resident said she found the house of the Tans cordoned off at about 5pm, but added that she did not know why the police were there. - CNA/ec

Re: Kovan double murder: Fighting could be heard from home

In other countries, the police will be giving press conferences and the media will telecast the press conferences while the police take questions from the media...................here, no one knows who contacted the police and no one knows what questions they did NOT ask the police.

In a nutshell..................police in all cases can just say "no comments" and the public will have to accept that.

Also, that police guy whoever his name who said the public will criticize and say bad things about the police, BUT that did not happen.

That shows that police guy is so out of touch with the sentiments of the public. SAD state of affairs.

Kovan murder suspect expected to go on trial after March 2014

<iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/PFBTFT-fPKE?rel=0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>

SINGAPORE: The trial of the police officer accused of the Kovan murders will probably take place after March next year.

Defence lawyers say this is because a large number of court exhibits have been sent for DNA analysis, and given the numbers, the analysis is expected to be completed only in March 2014.

This was made known in a pre-trial conference at the High Court on Tuesday.

Thirty-four-year-old Iskandar Rahmat was charged on July 15 with the murders of 66-year-old car workshop owner Tan Boon Sin and his 42-year-old son, Tan Chee Heong.

The alleged murders took place on July 10 at the Tans' Hillside Drive residence.

The elder Tan's body was found at home, while his son was dragged under a car for one kilometre from the house before being dislodged outside Kovan MRT station.

Iskandar has been assessed to be of sound mind and fit to plead.

A date has been set in the High Court on January 21 next year for another pre-trial conference.

If convicted, Iskandar faces the death penalty.
