The plot thickens :coffee::coffee::coffee:
his deputy colonel-general andrei yudin has just been fired. yudin’s boss surovikin is well respected in russia and is perceived to be the most capable general. he oversaw the conflicts in chechnya and syria, and brutally suppressed all opposing forces in those conflicts. the ukraine theater will falter without him.

There were reports that there had been major reshuffles in the RUS military, not just in the theatre of war in UKR, but even within RUS, after the so called admired Prigozhin whom in the end REBELLED against his master.

In war, any group can walk into a neighboring country & create havoc, but in the end, it is about SUSTAINABILITY for such an effort, that does not involve only armed men - but service & supply/logistics. Without such, any such stupidity will only result in failure.

After 3mths of the RUS atrocious invasion into its neighbor UKR, it had failed & continuing such even today is to deny REALITIES if not the principles of SUSTAINABILITY.

In peacetime, the military seems like a good career - food, lodgings, salaries, privileges, etc that would give a man/woman pride, etc, an honest job that is looked up by many others whom rely on them to defend the nation should it be attacked. Thus many join, & some whom are good at providing at least above mediocre performances on paper or in real life, would be promoted & assured of a good pension for life, AND responsibilities thrusted upon higher ups.

However, when a war is declared, more so one that involves conquest & not for defense of a nation, that illusion is destroyed within seconds. RESULTS for success are DEMANDED by those in power, as proven in the RUS invasion of UKR. If even the much trusted & vaunted Wagner group, along with Gen Armageddon Sorovikin are unable to SUSTAIN the war effort, then how more its 2nd in command leaders whom are mostly for show & the monthly paychecks?,..

Some of them may take up the RESPONSIBILITY of leadership, but in the end, it would only be futile recklessness without SUSTAINABILITY, at the cost of their men whom are only Human & each life means something special & precious to another- their families, relatives & friends whom make up RUS civilization... It is NOT just the MILLIONS of an UNITED UKR People that the RUS troops are facing, but 7 BILLION Humankind that are supporting UKR in finance & arms...

May the mid level to top military commanders wake up to REALITIES. Make no mistake, this is NOT a call to rebel as precious RUS lives would be lost in such futile attempts.

None would want to lose a war, but it is NO SHAME to surrender when the odds of SUSTAINABLITY is against one. That blame falls upon the proven insane RUS MOD & leadership. Military careers may be lost, but at least one can sleep peacefully at nights, for not SACRIFICING precious lives for an insane unstainable order, & other opportunities in life will be available for anyone whom seek to rise in our World as long as one is still alive, revered & World at peace...

As for the People of UKR, the fight for one's freedom, sovereignty & way of life must continue on undistracted. It will be hard, & sad, even bitter, with so many, so many precious ones lost, but as long as each citizen shares the same goal for a better future for themselves & generations to come, along with 7 Billion Humankind rooting in support of finance & aid, victory is achievable. UKR, although only a small nation, WILL NOT be bullied.

All the best to the proven valiant & courageous People of UKR.

Sometimes, one needs to stir a glass of cloudy water to find out what rises to the top, to find out what is the cause of cloudiness.

After Prigozhin's revolt, RUS Foreign Minister Lavrov had been very active to so called 'defend' RUS interests. Was it RUS or was it his OWN interests? Perhaps the RUS FSB whom had been reported to be actively searching for Prigozhin, should consider its investigations, bullet & anthrax powder on doorknobs for FM Lavrov instead.

FM Lavrov is indeed & proven intelligent man, but sadly, did he use his intelligence to further RUS interests OR his own? History WILL give us a clue...from China's 5000 yrs recorded history.

During the last days of the Great Qin Empire, Zhao Gao - an infamous name that is associated with DISASTER for centuries - was the eunuch whom served the Great Emperor. For his own personal survival, he managed to scam his way into being a Prime Minister, & thru his disastrous efforts to survive, he hoodwinked the heir, into fantasies, resulted in him being insane & alienated from affairs of State. As an Eunuch, he knew NOTHING about governance, but only his survival, pride & ego, & saw the great Chin empire destroyed by his foolish & stupid policies, painfully built up by a truly knowledgeable Human Zhao Zheng - the 1st Emperor of China & his son made insane by Zhao Gao.

As the PM, he PUSHED ALL RESPONSIBILITIES for mistakes made upon the Emperor, & even tried to betray the nation to warlords for his own survival when the citizens uprised.

FM Lavrov had held his position for decades. Most Russians, even the PM & President, as well as Military commanders, had little contact with other leaders of the World, let alone the RUS parliament DUMA, & is a figure within the vaunted RUS security apparatus. Ultimately, he alone decides what is to be informed or NOT to be informed to his supposed superiors, many whom are already aged, senile & some with even apparent bizarre behavior bordering upon Schizophrenia.

So who is truly ruling RUS today - behind the scenes manipulator FM Lavrov akin to Qin dynasty Zhao Gao, OR the RUS supposed leadership, whom had sent many precious RUS youths to death in an unsustainable conquest of UKR as well as a deliberate attempt to upset decades of World Economic order that brought peace & stability to Humankind?

Should the ill trained & equipped RUS conscripts surrender, as it is the only wise choice left in the face of 7 BILLION Humankind support for the small but courageous UKR nation that faced the atrocious invasion by RUS, if by hundreds of thousands POWs, there will be concerns about their upkeep. May the UKR govt not worry.

7 Billion Humankind stands behind them, including the insignificant nobody me. I would contribute my share by foregoing to Starbucks for coffee. I am not rich, but with 7 Billion of us contributing each day, it will be enough to provide those POW with at least 3 hot meals & shelter each day, till their administration is done, & should be quickly repatriated as soon as possible so that they may return to their families, relatives & friends, to restart their education or skill upgrading to contribute to RUS economy which is in shambles now, & being an agrarian society, vast wheat fields need cultivation, to alleviate the hunger of the RUS People, whom are innocent.

Those conscripts are NOT enemies, only the corrupt & insane RUS govt is.

The longer the war continues on, the more those RUS youths will suffer from PTSD. Unlike UKR troops, the UKR soldiers do have an anchor - to defend their nation, a worthy cause so that many more others may live & progress.

RUS youths are only fighting for an abstract notion of Power by their political masters which does not uplift the common citizenry lives. For them, life is & will still be the same - poverty, regardless if the brutal RUS invasion succeeds or fail, since the end of the era of Tzars till today. With PTSD, having seen the horrors of war & the decimation of Human lives, they will only eventually take matters into their own hands & will be a issue not just to RUS, but to their very own loved ones...the family - with is the building block of Civilization..

Instead of a forever war, let the ambitious political masters sortt out their differences among themselves, & let us Humankind, white, black, short, tall, regardless of religious or political ideologies, be forever friends, sharing our only home - Planet Earth, in Peace....

Ukraine ‘preparing for nuclear explosion’ as Russian troops ordered to leave Zaporizhzhia plant: ‘Whole world is watching’

Ukraine is reportedly “preparing for a nuclear explosion” at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, heightening tensions in the wake of Russia’s first overnight drone attack on Kyiv in 12 days.

Worries over a potential blast have prompted training to prepare residents for what might occur, according to Kira Rudik, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament.

“I still cannot process that in the 21st century, this is what is happening. We are preparing for a nuclear explosion and the whole world is watching and there is nothing that can be done,” Rudik told Sky News.

It is “unprecedented” that Russia has not allowed UN officials into the power plant to carry out checks, according to Rudik, who noted Ukrainian officials called several times to make the plant a neutral zone, but “Russia never agreed to that.”

Russian troops have been ordered to leave the power plant — which has been under Russian control since March 2022 — by July 5, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

“The latest data indicates that the occupying forces are gradually leaving the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Three employees of Rosatom, who led the Russians’ actions, were among the first to leave the facility,” DIU said on Telegram.

Rosatom is a Russian state corporation specializing in nuclear energy.

“Ukrainian employees who have signed a contract with Rosatom have also been advised to evacuate. Under the instructions received, they should leave by 5 July,” DIU said.

Russian troops ordered to remain in the area have allegedly been instructed to “blame Ukraine in the event of any emergency,” Ukrayinska Pravda reported.

As the Zaporizhzhia region readies for the situation to possibly go nuclear, Russia launched an overnight drone attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region, Ukrainian military officials said Sunday.

The attack — the first after a 12-day break — included eight Iranian-made Shahed drones and three cruise missiles, which were shot down.

“Another enemy attack on Kyiv,” Serhiy Popko, a colonel general who heads Kyiv’s military administration, said on Telegram.

Three homes were damaged by falling drone debris and one person was injured, Ruslan Kravchenko, the military head of the region, said on Facebook. No other information about the attack was immediately available.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated marines in the Black Sea port city of Odesa on the country’s Navy Day — celebrated the first Sunday of July.

“If Russian warships are still in the Black Sea, they will be afraid to approach our Ukrainian Crimea and Azov Sea coast. This will definitely happen,” Zelensky said, according to the Kyiv Independent.

Russia's Medvedev says standoff with West to last decades, Ukraine conflict 'permanent'

LONDON: Dmitry Medvedev, Russia's former president, has warned that Moscow's confrontation with the West will last decades and that its conflict with Ukraine could become permanent.
Medvedev, once seen in the West as a liberal moderniser, has emerged as one of Russia's most outspoken hawks since Moscow launched what it called a "special military operation" in Ukraine last year.
Now deputy head of the Security Council, his views reflect some of the thinking at the Kremlin's top level, according to Russian officials.
In an article for the government's Rossiiskaya Gazeta newspaper, he said tensions between Russia and the West were "much worse" than during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis when the world teetered on the edge of a nuclear conflagration.
A nuclear war was "quite probable" but was unlikely to have any winners, said Medvedev, who has repeatedly said Western support for Ukraine increases the chances of nuclear conflict.
He cited sharp differences over Ukraine, the direction of humankind, and the way the world order was structured.
"One thing that politicians of all stripes do not like to admit: Such an apocalypse is not only possible, but also quite probable," wrote Medvedev.

Western analysts cast what they say is Medvedev's "nuclear sabre-rattling" as a tactic aimed at frightening the West to reduce military support for Ukraine and to instead lean on Kyiv to start peace talks with Moscow.
Many countries in the West, which say they are helping Ukraine defend itself from a brutal colonial war of conquest, have promised to stand by Kyiv for as long as it takes.
The United States, Ukraine's biggest financial and military backer, has said it does not want to engage in a direct conflict with Russia to avoid the risk of a nuclear war.
Ukraine says it won't negotiate until it has driven every Russian soldier from its territory.
Medvedev said Moscow was still committed to stopping Ukraine join NATO.
"Our goal is simple - to eliminate the threat of Ukraine's membership in NATO. And we will achieve it. One way or another," he said.
Given NATO's rule about not admitting countries entangled in territorial conflicts, he said the conflict with Ukraine could become "permanent" given its existential nature for Moscow.
The only way to de-escalate tensions between Russia and the West was to enter into tough negotiations, he said.
"The confrontation will be very long and it is too late to tame the recalcitrants (i.e. us)," said Medvedev. "The confrontation will last for decades."
