Ming Pao journalist arrested ‘for taking upskirt photo’ of colleague at newspaper’s Hong Kong office

A journalist has been arrested after a Ming Pao co-worker complained to police that her colleague took an up-skirt photo of her with a mobile phone at the Chinese-language newspaper's offices in Chai Wan.
Ming Pao's management said last night they had received a sexual harassment complaint on Friday and had dealt with it quickly.
" Ming Pao editorial … won't tolerate any sexual harassment and will fully cooperate with the police in their investigation," a statement on its website said.
A police spokeswoman said a woman had told police on Sunday that a man had taken "underskirt photos" of her without her knowledge at an office in Chai Wan on an earlier date.
"[After an investigation] police arrested a 35-year-old man with the surname Chow. The arrest was made in Kwun Tong on Tuesday … and the man was arrested for access to a computer with criminal or dishonest intent," the spokeswoman said.
The maximum penalty for the offence is five years in prison.
The spokeswoman said the man had been released on bail and was due to report to police again late next month. When asked why it took two days for a complaint to be lodged, a spokeswoman for Ming Pao said they had no further comment.
