Man charged with causing hurt to elderly person in bus

SINGAPORE: An unemployed man has been charged with causing hurt to an elderly man in a bus.

Kwok Weng Hon, 25, allegedly punched 72-year-old Ng Kim Toh's face in bus service no 147 while the vehicle was travelling along Upper Serangoon Road on 21July this year.

The assault allegedly left Ng with a dislocated nose.

If convicted, Kwok faces a jail term of up to 10 years, fine and even caning.

The case will come up for further mention later this month.

A broken nose is no joke nor is there any justification for it to be classified as a non-seizable offence.

This is "Causing Grievous Hurt under the Penal Code and carries a long sentence and fine or both.

That pig of an assailant deserves to be sodomise in the Prison.

The police prosecution branch should go all out to "nail" such a scum so as to send a message to all like-minded bastards like him that it is NOT WORTH the WHILE bullying a frail old woman.
