They were using Hamas to create division in Palestine and to sabotage peace deals.
Hamas was elected by Palestine. Hamas don't build school, electricity supply, water....so Israel had to do it as humanitarian help.

If Israhell is serious in peace, she shld go back to 1967 two-state solution. But we know Israhell want GS and WB as well.
Basically the Likud under Netyanahu and the right wing settlers do not want a 2-state solution. That's why they created and cultivated Hamas which was a fringe terrorist group into the monster it is today, to counter PLO which was secular in orientation and a signatory to the 2-state deal. Note that there were no more elections after the 2006 election in which Hamas got voted on false promises.
The current incursion by Hamas in to Israel gives the Zionist the perfect pretext to invade Gaza, re-occupy the territory and settle Ukrainian Jewish refugees there. Eventually the Zionists will take back the West Bank as well.
