I met this doctor who works in a local government hospital via a mutual friend's introduction. Well, I kind of like him and he kind of like me. We exchanged numbers and so far been out on three dates. He hasn't asked the magic question yet but my gut feel is that he would soon. I am lying on my bed now wondering about the pros and cons of getting myself into a relationship with a doctor. I guess I need to get myself mentally prepared before I could say yes when he finally requests for a mutual commitment.

Pros:
1. Free doctor when I am ill
2. No worries about finances as he is decently employed and a professional

Cons:
1. He's not on a 9 to 5 job. There will always be an issue of mismatched hours between us in future. Feels sort of problematic to me.

2. We can’t comfort each other workwise. We are from different domains and will not understand what one of us is going through.

Anyone here who is in a doctor with non doctor relationship? I would greatly appreciate your thoughts and words of wisdom. Thanks in advance.

How many years of PQE has he got? Tell him to keep upgrading himself to become a specialist. Then his working hours will be more regular and he'll be able to better manage his time.

Your listed pros, may be obtained from several professionals.
There are very few professionals who work only from 9 to 5. In Canada, the only ones are the well paid skilled tradesmen (with good over time pay, benefits and pension plan), whereas it appears that in Singapore, skilled tradesmen are not as well paid.
You di not have to be from the same profession or industry.
You may even be from a different ethnic group, or different culture.
Take your time to evaluate, and do not rush to make any commitment.
Observe how he treats his mothet and his colleagues, especially subordinates.
