Sickening Iranian Muslims. How sex-crazed perverts are they?

According to a story published in The Guardian, Iran has passed a law, which if approved by the Guardian Council, would allow men to marry their adopted daughters once the child reaches the age of 13.

Human rights activists have expressed dismay that the bill opens the door for men to use the law to marry their own adopted daughters if the court rules that it's in the interest of the child.

In Iran girls under the age of 13 can still be legally married, but it requires a judge's approval.

Shadi Sadr, a human rights lawyer with the London-based group Justice for Iran said that law essentially legitimises child abuse.

"This bill is legalising paedophilia," she said. "It's not part of the Iranian culture to marry your adopted child. Obviously incest exists in Iran more or less as it happens in other countries across the world, but this bill is legalising paedophilia and is endangering our children and normalising this crime in our culture."

Iranian officials are arguing that the law has been enacted out of practicality since adopted girls are forced to wear a hijab around their fathers.

'With this bill, you can be a pedophile and get your bait in the pretext of adopting children,' Sadr said.

Whether or not the law will get the final stamp of approval by the country's Governing Council is still a question but the outcry among activists has been vocal.

Underage marriage is a real concern in the country where it has been reported that there were 42,000 children between the ages of 10 and 14 who were married in 2010.

In 2012, the Legal Affairs Committee of the Majles (the Iranian parliament) told the press that they regard the law that prohibits girls below the age of 10 from being married off as "un-Islamic and illegal."

In August of this year, a court in India's capital stirred up controversy when it said marriage with an underage girl was permissible under Indian Law.

The city court in Delhi said that provisions of the the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act suggested that where a physical relationship is undertaken with a minor girl – which is neither sexual assault nor has consent been taken by unlawful means – no offence can said to have been committed.

According to a Times of India report, the court made these observations while acquitting a 22-year-old native of West Bengal of charges of kidnapping and raping a 15-year-old girl, with whom he had eloped and later married.

WOODY ALLEN ON MARRIAGE TO SOON-YI: 'WHAT WAS THE SCANDAL?'
Director Woody Allen gestures at an interview during the Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007. (Carolyn Kaster)

OTRC By OnTheRedCarpet.com Staff
Director Woody Allen made headlines in 1992 when, at the age of 56, it was revealed that he was in a relationship with 21-year-old Soon-Yi Previn, the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow, his girlfriend of over 10 years and the leading lady in 13 of his films.

Farrow discovered the relationship when she found nude photos of Previn taken in Allen's Manhattan duplex, according to a 1992 People magazine article. The revelation sent Allen's name in the headlines and played out in court in a custody battle over Farrow and Allen's biological son Satchel.

Farrow adopted Soon-Yi at age 8 with then husband Andre Previn in 1978. The couple divorced in 1979 and Farrow began dating Allen in 1980.

However, when asked in a new interview with Reuters to promote "Midnight in Paris" about the scandal, Allen, 75, replied, "What was the scandal? I fell in love with this girl, married her. We have been married for almost 15 years now."

He added, "There was no scandal, but people refer to it all the time as a scandal and I kind of like that in way because when I go I would like to say I had one real juicy scandal in my life."

Allen and Previn wed in December 1997 in Venice, Italy and have two adopted daughters. Back in 1992, Soon-Yi Previn told Time magazine she never considered Allen a father figure in her life.

"To think that Woody was in any way a father or stepfather to me is laughable. My parents are Andre Previn and Mia, but obviously they're not even my real parents," Previn said at the time. "I came to America when I was seven. I was never remotely close to Woody. He was someone who was devoted exclusively to his own children and to his work, and we never spent a moment together."

Previn also said the two began seeing each other around the time she was 20-years-old. She told Time magazine "By that time his relationship with Mia was long done, and they were going through the motions." She added, "They were friendly but rarely went out, and apart from when they worked together or played with their children, had little to do with one another."

Allen's biological son with Farrow, Ronan Farrow (birth name Satchel) -- who is now a 23-year-old journalist/government official --said of the relationship according to Life magazine, "He's my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression."

"I cannot see him. I cannot have a relationship with my father and be morally consistent," he added, "I lived with all these adopted children, so they are my family. To say Soon-Yi was not my sister is an insult to all adopted children."

The 35-year age difference raised eyebrows back in the 1990s much like the recent wedding of 51-year-old "LOST" actor Doug Anthony Hutchinson to 16-year-old singer Courtney Alexis Stodden.

"We're aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial. But we're very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless," that couple said in a statement.

When asked by Reuters if he was "too much for the Middle American mentality," Allen said: "Yes, we are a very religious country, but to me that is their problem. I don't subscribe to it. I am not religious or prudish. In that way I am slightly more European, but you will find that a certain amount of that more in New York, I think, rather than the rest of the country."
