That's why do not get checkups in SG, with no records here, how are they going to prove and void any claims? Granted, nothing is fool-proof, but no reason to make it easier for these companies to reject claims and i'm not even referring to genuine cases of insurance fraud, just those suspected, cleared and given clean bill of health.
Maybe people here are rich enough to forgo such coverage or can't be bothered, but certainly not me. What's the worst that could happen in worst case scenario? a) One gets cancer and insurance company refuse payout as local records detailed very clearly one's failure to disclose. b) On the other hand, one gets cancer and there is a chance that insurance company cant refuse payout base on failure to disclose as they have nothing on hand to prove otherwise.
Even if in the end, somehow insurance companies found out, then it is the same as scenario one, it doesn't get any worse. Furthermore, health checkups, as with many generic drugs are easily 30-40% cheaper away from SG, so one saved quite a fair bit already. Go figure.
