That's rich, considering that LKY institutionalized nepotism and cronyism in Singapore ... that's one of the negative aspects of his legacy.
The other dark stain on his legacy is he did not, even after 56 years' rule, establish a robust democracy based on the separation of powers, strong institutions, and the independence of the three pillars of the Westminster model: legislature, judiciary and the executive. What he left behind was an illiberal democracy based on a personality cult, and maintained by curbs on dissent and demolition of political opponents; and the executive arm of government arrogating dominion over the other arms.
