Heard her mountain is HC.

Even if she leaves, HC will place her elsewhere with similar salary and perks. No $$$ loss for SPH. Maybe lose a little face and pride.

SMRT CEO says she would consider calls to resign

SINGAPORE - Facing the media for the first time since SMRT experienced one of its worst rail disruptions to date, SMRT CEO Saw Phaik Hwa today apologised to the 127,000 commuters who were affected by the incident yesterday.

On public calls for her and other senior management to resign, Ms Saw said that while she would consider resigning if necessary, she would reserve her opinion on the matter for the time being.

how long more shd she be allowed to stay before more severe disasters happen? are we waiting for blood to be spilled before the govt sacks her?

I am not being mean..but enough is enough.

she is arrogant, incompetent and unrepentent. the only plus point for her is that she is well connected.

Running a technology driven company is different from running a retail business. You need to invest to keep things running. Some things you cannot save. Ms Saw to become Ms Was soon.

Engineers, techicians, Station service staff would be in the firing line but Saw Phaik Hwa would still escaped unscathed from all this fiasco...

maybe blame the cleaner uncle or auntie. he or she might ve drop the cleaning rag onto the rail and causing all the mishaps. do remember: our mrt might be great but a piece of chewing gum can stall it. and that's why the REAL reason chewing gum is banned.

it woulc also be a good time that smrt would resort to rid little those who ve offended the higher thoses.

life is like that. if there's credit, the higher those get it first. if there's discredit, then the little those would have to face the music. in singapore, that's lavishly called MERITOCRACY.

"Passengers not worried despite Thursday's MRT breakdown"

hi there

1. this is shittytimes spin doc did today.
2. call this "tone it down" or what.
3. what is journalism 101?

They responded as ... MRT breakdown: Minister promises 'thorough health check' of system and Train services back to normal after Thursday's MRT breakdown

Like in some kungfu that combines both the hard and soft way. But, when I tell that to LTA in my email, they were like Gold FM : HEAR ONLY THE GOOD THINGS. So, no problem ! Lazy folks !

Really guys - what is the big fuss? This happens only once in 50 years lah.
Move on, please, literally.

Agree - but not 50 years because MRT existence is less than that.

MRT runs thousands of trips a day, 365 days a year. The breakdown is only 0.0001 per cent of the number of trips. It's negligible, insignficant!

Who has not fallen sick since he was born? Raise your hands.
