How Popular is MM Lee?

It's a pity there is no contest at Tanjong Pagar GRC?

It's a given assumption that if there is a contest, PAP will win.

I wonder how popular is MM Lee in the recent years, given he does nothing much (his own words), lectures other countries' leaders on how to their nations, threaten Singaporeans and refuses to renew himself because hebthinks he is indispensable.

Any opinion?

Very popular, you just love to hate him, or hate to love him! Anyway, it is time for him to go!! those over 50, will find him to be an irritating gramaphone, whose needle is stuck on the grove, for the vinyl have a cut on it...'krack!...crik, crik, crik, krack'.. the younger ones, don't play gramaphone....they have MP3 players...find him irrirtating also, for his recording is mono (tonus)...

There will be sad people .
And also happy people- those life have been taken away by LKY such as CSJ and many political exile).
In the end hope he can RIP. But I dont think so because he still not willing to give up the power.

MM has done a fantastic job when he was PM. His time is over. The longer he stays on, the more problems he's going to create for his son and for the younger ministers. If PM Lee really heard what the electorate said (as he says he did), he should, as the purported man in charge, make the right, and ONLY decision.... to retire his father.

If I were a CEO running a multi-billion dollar corporation, and my father is constantly being counter-productive, I would remove him immediately. Even if he was previously CEO. To retain him would be an insult to shareholders whom I am ultimately accountable to. But with the pap, it all works differently.

Do you know if he is going to be buried or incinerated?

I suppose lackey scientists going to freeze and store his brain somewhere?
I suggest we emblam our founding father and bulid grand mausoleum cum museum to honor him. It will be a top tourist attraction.
We should also put his brain in deep freeze until future advancement in science can transplant it to a youthful body so that our future generations can still benefit when he can be brought back to rule us again.

Dear Man On The Street,

Thanks for these collected quotes... thanks for your effort.

LKY, the person who lives in a tiny country, and the person who loves to think big, and talk big, but in reality couldn't do big...
