some are interested to know how HSK is because they want to know whether there will be a By-Election soon
Several possibilities for HSK:
1. He does not recover
2. He is paralysed
3. He is almost fully recovered
4. He is fully recovered from the stroke
My take is that whichever possibility , HSK is not going to go back to be MP and Minister. Better for him to retire now as he is already 54. So LHL has to decide whether he wants to hold a BE for Tampines. LHL many be embolden by BB BE results and yesterday's two Malaysian BE good results.

Yes, dont need to have finance degree or background to be Finance Minister. The Finance Ministry has many staff to help formulate finance policies. The Minister just chairs meetings, gives directions and approve his staff's papers and recommendations. The Minister does not need to go into details as these are done by the staff
I bet a new Finance Minister will be appointed soon
Ministers must be Singaporeans and are Members of Parliament. That rules out foreigners. Otherwise we can get ex World Bank President Jim Yong Kim or Robert Bruce Zoellick. They are eminently more qualified, more experienced, better connected, more credible and cheaper than HSK or Tharman

yes the job is to form committees to find out what went wrong & then form some more committees to implement what the right policies are...the person appointed there is to look after the 'finances" of the "firm" & the "famiLEE"....the rest of the country, is just a side job. That is why, they know do not need someone who is qualified to run the Finance Ministry as in the past....same as what experiences does HSK have in Education or that $8 Cow in Health..or that famous clown, "zorro"...the list is endless...

The only quality needed to be in the pap Cabinet is obedience to the Familee. No need other qualifications or experience.
But that kind of ministers will kill SG in the long term. Such ministers may be rich but they will incur divine wrath.

We have seen how LKY suffered. We have seen GCT, LHL, HSK, TCJ, Lee Yishan, etc getting serious sickness despite best health care. The pap says it is stress that causes these sicknesses. I see it as divine wrath on people who go for wealth and fame at the expense of hard working Singaporeans
But LHL is above mortals....he had REMISSION...only divine people gets recession or in mortal cases, divine providence gives them remission from their........ this one, must be "special".
Sometimes divine wrath gives bad people a 2nd chance to repent.

I agree. Lim Boon Heng is one such lousy material and yet he can be parachuted into Temasek Holdings for the purpose of raiding our reserves. Who knows, he might just prepare himself for future presidential election too. Put a monkey in PAP, and 70% sinkies still treated it like saint. The asshole Koh Poh Koon is one such example. I am speechless.
