This remains to be seen. China today is different from the China thirty years ago. Things might change slower in Singapore - but PAP cannot expect to tell the lies they tell and expect to get away with it with successive generations of Singaporeans.
The Reality is that they have already lost in a big way in the last election as it is clear to them and to Singaporeans how much support they have and what kind of candidates they put up.

I think what you are saying is already happening, not need for a post LKY world ... the question is how the Lees are fending them off. If he call in the elders/Kakis and stomp on them - they would be eating their young ones alive. If they let the challengers be, the leadership get gets weakened and the infighting gets worse ... BIG problem for them. In the meantime, because of the yesman and the RC idiots, and most importantly the lack of strategy and vision - they have to do damage control and propaganda everyday rather than exercise any real leadership.
