Under the present tender system ,bidders or property developers submit their tender dox in a sealed envelope before the prescribed date and time.What happened to the dox after closure of tender and before succesful bidders are announced?
Are the nation's stakeholders getting the best value for their precious and scarce
assets?
Perhaps we should have an open outcry auction (similar to that in Hong Kong) for our valuable assets, plusTV coverage.This would work well for potential homebuyers and property developers.This ensures fair competition amongst property developers and give them the opportunity to back out or up the ante in the last minute.The auction results would reflect the state of the economy and the property market in general.
