Four men arrested for theft of mobile phones

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested four men for the theft of 100 mobile phones and dishonestly receiving stolen property worth S$50,000.
In a statement, police said a company manager reported to the police on June 28 that five boxes, which contained 100 new mobile phones, were missing from his company located at Toh Guan Road.
Officers from Clementi Police Division managed to identify those involved in the theft and disposal of the stolen mobile phones and arrested them on July 5.
Officers also recovered from the suspects three stolen mobile phones and cash amounting to about S$20,000, believed to be proceeds from disposing the stolen mobile phones.
Officers also managed to trace another three mobile phones to two shops, located in Toa Payoh and Ang Mo Kio.
Police said efforts are ongoing to trace the other stolen mobile phones.
