FOR ALL THE “LAPSES” (INCLUDING THE MRT TRAIN ACCIDENT), LET’S MOVE ON
UNLIKE the oppositions parties whose leaders do not have ministers and office-bearers to conduct their OWN investigations and audits, this government and those responsible need not do the following:
Kwaw Boon Wan need not commit “hara-kiri” as this has nothing to do with his looking after the Transport ministry and certainly not the SMRT.
Desmond Kuek need not resign as this “lapses” are not his responsibility. He will also will “lose face” over such a matter involving his staff. Getting big bonus recently for doing extremely good work has nothing to do with overall responsibility.
Lee Hsien Loong PM’s message should be just regret and condolences to family members concerned. He has already stated that such accident should not happen again. Anyway busy celebrating his father’s achievements for the Singapore that we have now. Maybe, next year, and every other year after that (after LKY’s death) must have bigger and bigger stuffs to consider.
All other Ministers and office-holders and PAP members of Parliament: absolutely no need to comment further because of “contempt of court” pending coroner’s report. (Assuming of course that there will be investigations and coroner’s report).

Welcome back!

Thanks.

Let us just pray that we could really "move on" (whatever they mean) before new and "lapses" and "accidents" come about under their former paper generals!

The WP and other opposition parties are wise not to take political advantage because of people misfortunes. However, WP's MPs should raise concerns about the "lapses" and voice the citizens' unhappiness over such rather frequent and high "lapses" and not getting quick reports and on what serious actions were actually taken on those responsibilities.

" 16 December 1989: Three stations on East West Line from Tanah Merah to Pasir Ris were opened, completing the Eastern section of the line. "

What a shame, after 27 years of operations and maintenance, these thing happened...
