SINGAPORE - Several parts of Singapore experienced flash floods after intense rain on Saturday evening (Nov 10), said national water agency PUB.

PUB posted on Facebook at about 8.30pm: "Flash floods were reported along Choa Chu Kang Way to Choa Chu Kang Avenue 1 and Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 (near Esso petrol station and Bukit Batok Driving Centre)."

PUB officers were in the area to investigate the floods and to render assistance.

According to PUB, about 100mm of rain was recorded from 4.40pm to 6pm at Bukit Panjang. This is 40 per cent of the average monthly rainfall in November.

Singapore and the region have been experiencing inter-monsoon conditions since late October.

PUB added that the first two weeks of November 2018 is expected to be wetter than the last fortnight of October 2018.

PUB urged the public to exercise caution and to avoid venturing out to or driving in flooded areas.

During heavy rain, members of the public can listen to the radio or check PUB's Facebook for updates on flooding in Singapore.

LOL...PUB officers? What assistance? Serving drinks at the PUB?
Where are the Police or SCDF?

QUOTE: "PUB posted on Facebook at about 8.30pm"
"check
PUB's Facebook for updates"

Official announcements and updates on Facebook? This is PAP LEEders' standard of Singapore as an innovative SMART NATION?

QUOTE: "PUB added that the first two weeks of November 2018 is expected to be wetter than the last fortnight of October 2018."

First time encountering heavy rainfall or is it ongoing, every year? Blame the GODs? Don't blame the complacent and incompetent PAP LEEders?

QUOTE: "PUB urged the public to exercise caution and to avoid venturing out to or driving in flooded areas."

WOW...Such sincere and caring advice. Covering the SELF and washing the hands in case of mishaps.

THURSDAY'S deluge (Ponding) which submerged parts of Bukit Timah was a 'freak' event that occurs once in 50 years, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Yaacob Ibrahim said yesterday.
'What happened was very unusual,' he said. 'The intensity was tremendous.'

This one very amusing...the macik caught in that situation, should have listened to the radio & check PUB Facebook page for updates...ha ha ha ha I was caught in flash ponding like this once a long time back at a bus stop with shelter...the drains overflowed to the road & the water started rising...I have to stand on the bus shelter seats.

Should have listened to the radio & read PUB facebook page...ha ha ha ha

PAP LEEders' instruction and Standard Operating Procedures:
Say something or do anything. Make yourself visible.
Just give them some reassuring presence.
The people are gullible domesticated sheep.

This is what happens when you spent all your time chasing shadows and ignoring your real work.

It's for the LEEder to FIX his own shortcomings...or is he going to make the incoming seat-warmer face the onslaught so that his son can have the reason to move in!
Father does and the Son follows. The strateLEE is set to be LEEpeated...unless...???

i never understand why people open their brolly when there is shelter..

As always...PAP's solutions are just in name and onLEE good for show. They are usualLEE dysfunctional.
Rain droplets beat in at an angle because of wind blow. A shelter designed for vertical rain fall onLEE works in a LEEder's head.
Intention vs Actuality.

Rain or shine, I will shelter you. Trust me???
