Family confronts great-grandfather over affair

A family went to confront an 86-year-old man, already a great-grandfather, for allegedly having an affair with a middle age woman.
The confrontation took place at about 11.50am on 5 Mar, at a coffeeshop located at Blk 105, Yishun Ring Road.
The man's adult children had even brought their 86-year-old mother to catch their father in the act.
The man's son, Mr Zheng (64, businessman), told reporters that his father had known the woman at the coffeeshop for about two years. The neighbours started talking because the two have been seen behaving intimately there.
Mr Zheng's mother heard about the affair, prompting Mr Zheng to verify the rumours by asking around the neighbourhood.
He found that the rumoured woman is a 56-year-old Malaysian who claims to be married, but has been seen behaving intimately with other middle age men.
What's more, he had heard from his neighbour that his father had brought the woman home and taken away more than $10,000 worth of valuables consisting of jewellery, cash and gold coins.
Hoping to put an end to the affair, Mr Zheng brought his elderly mother to the coffeeshop to confront the woman, resulting in a massive commotion in the neighbourhood.
The police were alerted, and officers arrived to take statements. Eventually, the police advised all the parties involved to resolve the matter through legal means.
