When a system is weak on enforcing the rules a great injustice is done to those who put in the effort to follow the rules in the first place.

What u try to explain. Commoners talk pse...

Let me simplify it for you.

You study hard and after 15 years of education you get a degree and join a company with a starting salary of $2500.

A colleague who joined the same company at the same time you did with similar qualifications is also on the same salary.

A week later it is found that this colleague did not pass any university exams. He simply got bought his degree from one of those unrecognised degree mills.

However management decides to let him off with just a warning not to try the same trick again. He gets to keep his job and his salary.

How would you feel?

it's not so much about a fake degree as deportee was on f-1 student visa petitioning for h1-b with bogus experience and a fraudulent résumé. it's a bunch of false declarations and lying that failed his application. he'll try again with another name and identity. thanks to trump, re-entry for these frauds is getting tougher at immigration checkpoints.

looks like tanwahtiu has moved on from opium to fake degrees.

The same logic applies to fake virgins. It robs genuine virgins of their perceived honor and value if we allow fake virgins to put themselves on the same pedestal.

But if the guy with a fake degree can perform the same job as you. He is same or even better then you.
Let me ask this question , what good does Education do for you ?

Nowadays degrees have become meaningless simply because they are available pretty much for everyone who can afford to pay for the course. Only the top universities command some sort of respect.

In the old days only the top 1% qualified for entry so having a degree was a kind of certification that you are book smart and hopefully smart in a few other areas as well.

Then there are professional degree courses which are supposed to lay the groundwork for entering into a profession such as architecture, medicine and accounting etc.

When I was working in Singapore most of the fake technical qualification holders were exposed because they showed incompetence when applying basic mathematical concepts. However I'm sure there were some who slipped through the cracks because they were fast learners.

Thank you for your patience. We have investigated and would like to share that Nisha Padmanabhan, a Singapore citizen who joined IDA in 2014, has a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university and was recruited because of this Bachelor degree, extensive past work experience and good track record. Nisha pursued an MBA out of personal interest, and it was not a relevant certificate for her position in IDA though she was open about the fact that she had obtained it.
"Her MBA from Southern Pacific University was not a factor that contributed to her employment at IDA.
"In fact, 93.5% of all IDA staff that were hired at the level of Applications Consultant were based on their Bachelor’s degree.
“We would like to share that Nisha has been a committed team member and contributed in her role as an Applications Consultant for the past year. We would also like to take this chance to share that IDA selects employees based on a holistic set of criteria which includes their educational qualifications, work experience, individual career aspirations and personality traits.

Your story dont make sense.

1 week is not enough, maybe a few months or a few years later the fake self taught the academic part of the skill set, and also self learn from practice during work to get to the same skill level and set with to qualified worker.

Jiuhu kia and fake Malaysian technical
qualifications entered Singapore in this way.... fuck LKY closed one eye scared of Goh Keng Swee will go against him if exposed fake jiuhu kia qualifications...

You are totally missing the point. It's not about skillsets it's about prerequisites for applying for the job.

If the job requires a degree and you don't have one so you forge a certificate it makes a mockery of the whole system and penalises those who actually meet the conditions of employment.

Another example if a job requires no criminal record and a false declaration is made in order to get the job it does not make any difference even if you never commit another crime. Not verifying a person's CV puts the honest candidates at a disadvantage.

Most sinkies have no feelings, otherwise how do we explain the obscene salaries Tin Pei Ling is getting while many PHD holders are driving grab and still vote for PAP?

there are degree mills, fake degrees, and fraudulent applications for h1-b. they are all different matters that are dealt with differently. it’s not against the (u.s.) law to have a degree from a degree mill, nor is it illegal to claim a fake degree. it’s up to the employer to fire the employee who is caught with fake credentials. but that employee is not going to jail as it’s not a criminal case. the employer can sue employee as a civil case of fraud and misrepresentation. but most don’t as civil cases will drag out, cost legal fees and sexpose employers’ poor hiring practice. submitting false and fraudulent info in any gov process such as a h1-b petition or application is criminal, and perpetrator can be charged in court or face punitive measures such as being barred from entering u.s. for several years, incarceration in detention centers, and deportation. in this case applicant upon being sexposed for fraudulent info to back up his h1-b petition decided to withdraw his application but could not escape deportation. if he held an f-1 visa it would also be revoked.

But these people who have PHD are the ones voting in Tin Pei Ling & the what shits in there, while they drive grab....they deserve what they get, don't complain. Don't worry they are now in Public Relations mood, every heartland you go to, they have these fairs..job fairs, skillsnofuture fairs etc.. These voters are just loving it...the point is, you want what you get...you vote people like TPL who earns $16,000 ++++++ a month....you, drive GRAB. hooray!
