A Japanese F-35 stealth fighter jet with one pilot on board disappeared from radar while on a training mission over the Pacific on Tuesday night, the defense ministry said.
The fighter jet went missing at around 7:30 p.m. (1030 GMT) as it was flying some 135 km (84 miles) east of Misawa in northeastern Japan, a ministry spokeswoman said.
It was not immediately clear if it had crashed, the spokesperson said, adding: “We are still trying to search for the aircraft.”
The fate of the pilot was not immediately clear.
The plane lost contact about 30 minutes after taking off from Misawa Air Base, public broadcaster NHK said.
The Self-Defence Forces and coastguard dispatched vessels to carry out rescue operations, NHK added.
Japan’s first F-35A fighter squadron based at Misawa became operational on March 29.

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan’s military said on Tuesday it lost contact with one of its Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth fighters over the Pacific Ocean close to northern Japan.
Japan’s first squadron of F-35s has just become operational at the Misawa air base and the government plans to buy 87 of the stealth fighters to modernize its air defenses as China’s military power grows.

The advanced single-seat jet was flying about 135 km (84 miles) east of the air base in Aomori Prefecture at about 7:27 p.m. (1027 GMT) on Tuesday, when it disappeared from radar, the Air Self Defense Force said.
The military has launched a search for the missing aircraft and its pilot, it said in a statement.

A crash would be only the second time an F-35 has gone down since the plane began flying almost two decades ago. It would also be the first crash of an A version of the fifth-generation fighter designed to penetrate enemy defenses by evading radar detection.
A U.S. military short take off and landing (STOVL) F-35B crashed near the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in South Carolina in September prompting a temporary grounding of the aircraft. Lockheed Martin also makes a C version of the fighter designed to operate off carriers.
Japan’s new F35s will include 18 short take off and vertical landing (STOVL) B variants that planners want to deploy on its islands along the edge of the East China Sea.

7db72ba1c07a49f394305cd1875a9f64.jpeg

According to the latest news, an F-35A stealth fighter from Japan’s Sanze base disappeared from the radar on the radar at 7-14 km from the east side of Misawa City at 7:27 local time (6:27 Beijing time). The center was unable to contact the pilot.

As of 9 pm, the Japanese Defense Ministry claimed that Japan’s air rescue units were in emergency rescue. There were empty search and rescue aircraft, patrol boats and frigates to search for lost seas. There is no exact news.

In the event of a loss of cooperation, Japan Air has its own four F-35A training together, which means that the fighter did not have any abnormal contact before the loss.

Japanese F35-A fighter

Japan Air is urgently confirming the details, and the Japanese media speculated that it may have been caused by a radar problem.

According to the analysis, the F-35A is suspected of having crashed. Japanese media reported that the third fighter was the third fighter (relative to the major).

Earlier, the remaining 12 F-35As deployed by the Japanese Defense Ministry to the Sanze base announced their grounding.

At present, Japan Air has already accepted 13 F-35A fighters, which are under the control of the 302nd wing. It is not known that this fighter is the original assembly production of Lockheed Martin of the United States, or the aircraft assembled and produced in Japan.

Japanese F35-A fighter

If the stealth fighter crash is finalized, the analysis said that the accident may affect Japan's increased purchase of F-35 orders.

Japan first ordered 42 F-35A stealth fighters. Later, the Japanese Defense Ministry decided to terminate the research and development of the stealth fighters. All the funds were used to purchase the F-35 fighters. Japan decided to purchase more than 60 F-35A and F-. The 35B, F-35B is a vertical take-off and landing fighter for deployment on the Japanese cloud-class aircraft carrier.

Japan has only one aircraft with 13 accidents, which is beyond the expectations of the fighters. This is the second fifth-generation stealth fighter in the world. Lockheed Martin accepted about 4,000 from around the world. Order.

In September 2018, a US Marine Corps F-35B crashed during training, the world's first F-35 crash. However, Japan’s air crash from this time will be the world’s first F-35A crash and the second F-35 crash in the world.

F-35B crashed during training

The F-35 is a single-engine fighter. Although it is equipped with the world's most advanced F-135 turbofan engine developed by Pratt & Whitney, it is the best engine. In the air, the single-engine fighter cannot avoid the fate of the crash. Single-engine fighters have always been much more expensive than twin-engine fighters.

Earlier, some analysts said that with reference to the US Army Lockheed Martin F-22 fighters, 187 were produced, but four crashed. Referring to this ratio, the F-35 fighters produced by Lockheed Martin are produced. In the case of 4000, there will be about 100 crashes.

If you calculate the amazing accident rate of the American single-engine fighter F-16, 13.66%, the F-35A will crash more than 500.

In this way, the F-35A, which has just begun to be deployed in large numbers in the world, will usher in high-frequency accidents. (again) Return to Sohu to see more

Last update: 2:20 p.m. EST - April 9, 2019

MELBOURNE, Australia — A Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-35A fighter jet went missing off the coast of northern Japan on Tuesday, with a search mission now underway.

Local media reported that contact with the Lockheed Martin-made stealth fighter was lost just before 7:30 p.m. local time, with the aircraft’s last reported location identified over the Pacific Ocean about miles 85 miles east of Misawa city in Aomori prefecture, in the northern part of Japan’s main island of Honshu.

Japan’s national public broadcaster, NHK, quoting Japan Air Self-Defense Force officials, reported that the missing F-35A was one of four JASDF F-35As that had taken off from nearby Misawa Air Base for a training mission at 7:00 p.m. local time.

The officials added that Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force aircraft and vessels have begun a search mission. Japan’s Coast Guard said it is sending two vessels to join in the search. Other JASDF aircraft, most likely search-and-rescue U-125A jets and UH-60J Black Hawk helicopters that are deployed throughout Japanese air bases, have also reportedly joined the search efforts.

Speaking to reporters, Japanese Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya said the JASDF will ground the 12 remaining F-35As for the time being.

U.S. Defense Department spokesman Lt. Col. Dave Eastburn told Defense News that the agency “is aware and monitoring the situation in Japan.”

Japan had only stood up its first F-35A squadron at the end of last month, with the 302nd Hikotai established in Misawa with 13 F-35As following its transfer from Hyakuri, north of Japan’s capital Tokyo, where it had been operating the Mitsubishi F-4EJ Phantom II.

Japanese F-35 fighter goes missing over the Pacific

By Brad Lendon, CNN

Updated 1746 GMT (0146 HKT) April 9, 2019

Hong Kong (CNN)A Japanese F-35 stealth fighter, one of the world's most-advanced warplanes, has gone missing over the Pacific Ocean, Japanese defense officials said.
Officials said the single-engine jet from Japan's Air Self-Defense Force was on a training flight with three other F-35s when contact was lost Tuesday evening, public broadcaster NHK reported.
The planes, based at Misawa Air Base on the northern tip of the main Japanese island of Honshu, were about 135 kilometers (84 miles) off the east coast of Aomori prefecture when contact was lost, officials said.
The pilot of the single-seat fighter is missing, and a search is underway, according to Japan's Defense Ministry.
No problems with the aircraft were reported before it went missing, NHK reported.

Japanese Air Self-Defense Force staff in 2016 in Arizona for the arrival of the first Japanese F-35A.
Japan's first squadron of the $100 million fighter jets went operational just 11 days ago, with about a dozen of the jets forming the 302nd Squadron at the Misawa base, according to a report from The Diplomat.com.
The Japanese jet, a F-35A model, would be the second lost to an accident. A US Marine Corps F-35B crashed in Beaufort, South Carolina, in late September. US defense officials in October said a faulty fuel tube was the likely cause, and all F-35s operated by the United States and its allies were temporarily grounded for inspection.
Japan is one of 14 countries in the F-35 program, according to the plane's maker, Lockheed Martin Corp. Tokyo announced in December it would be buying 147 of the planes, making it the biggest customer for the aircraft besides the United States.
At present, some of the Japanese F-35 are assembled in the United States and others at a plant in Nagoya, Japan. It has not been revealed where the plane that went missing Tuesday was built.
The F-35 comes in three versions. The F-35A, like the one Japan lost contact with Tuesday, is the one designed for air forces to use off conventional runways. The F-35B, like the one the US Marine Corps lost, is designed for short takeoff and vertical landings. The F-35C model is the US Navy's version, designed for use off its aircraft carriers.

The F-35 comes in three versions. The one that went missing Tuesday is the Air Force's F-35A model.
Japan has announced plans to buy 105 of the F-35A models and 42 F-35Bs, which it could eventually use to turn its Izumo-class helicopter destroyers into small aircraft carriers, its first since World War II.
The F-35 stealth jet has been called the most expensive weapons system in history, and its development was beset by multiple delays before it was deemed combat ready.

US F-35 fighter jet conducts first-ever airstrike

The first US combat mission conducted by an F-35 happened in October when a Marine Corps jet launched off the amphibious warship USS Essex struck targets in Afghanistan. In May, Israel announced it had conducted the first combat missions using the F-35 but offered few details.
In the Pacific, South Korea and Australia have joined Japan in acquiring the jets.
The F-35's advanced electronic warfare suite can allow seamless integration among users, making the planes strong counters to China's growing fleet of stealth aircraft, including the J-20 and J-31.
CNN's Yoko Wakatsuki contributed to this report.

An F-35A aircraft, designated AX-6. JASDF’s 3rd Air Wing, 302nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan.

  • Japan’s military reported on Tuesday that it lost an F-35 stealth jet some 84 miles off the east coast of Aomori prefecture, Japan, in the Pacific.
  • Experts say Russia and China will do anything to get a look at the crashed jet, and if they do find it or can salvage it, they could seriously undermine the next several decades of US airpower.
  • Russia and China probably couldn’t perfectly reconstruct the F-35, but any of its technology that ends up in the countries’ hands would be a blow to the heart of the US military.
  • Visit BusinessInsider.com for more stories.
Japan’s military reported on Tuesday that it lost contact with an F-35 stealth jet some 84 miles off the east coast of Aomori prefecture, Japan, in the Pacific and that the hunt was on for the pilot and the downed plane.
But if Russia or China – which both maintain a heavy naval presence in the region – find the plane first, the future of US airpower could be over before it started.
“Bottom line is that it would not be good” for the future of US airpower if Japan or the US don’t quickly recover the jet, retired US Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula told Business Insider.
“There is no price too high in this world for China and Russia to pay to get Japan’s missing F-35, if they can. Big deal,” Tom Moore, an expert on Russia and weapons proliferation, tweeted.
The hunt for F-35 tech is on
549327ffeab8eaa514bd4e61.jpg

Lockheed Martin
Basically, if Russia or China, perhaps using their advanced and stealthy submarines to probe the ocean floor, first found the jet, they would gain a treasure trove of secrets about the most expensive weapons system in the history of the world.
The F-35 crash in the Pacific represents the first-ever opportunity for Russia and China to hunt for one of these planes in the wild because the jet has crashed only once before, and that time was on US soil.
Reverse engineering the technology could allow Russia and China to build their own versions of the jet, up to a point.
Read more: NATO will lose its next air war to Putin’s ‘formidable beasts’ if it waits for the F-35 to save it
“The usefulness for Russia or China of recovering some or all of the wreckage would depend on how much damage the aircraft sustained upon hitting the water,” Justin Bronk, a combat-aviation expert at the Royal United Services Institute, told Business Insider.
“The general shape of the jet is well-known, as are its performance characteristics so not much to gain there but parts of radar and other sensors would be prime targets for recover and testing/even attempts at reverse engineering,” he added.
Russia specifically operates a fleet of shadowy submarines meant for very deep dives and research. The US and Japan have advanced maritime capabilities to search for the fallen jet but mostly rely on two of the US’s aging rescue and salvage ships and on large nuclear submarines, which may not be ideal for the rescue mission.
Read more: Russia says it’s going to arm a submarine with 6 nuclear ‘doomsday’ devices
As of now, all anyone knows is where the F-35 was last seen flying. It could have continued on for miles, and currents may have dragged it miles farther. In short, the entire region has a chance at brushing up against some piece of it.
What Russia and China stand to gain

Russia and China know what an F-35 looks like. There’s even some evidence China stole plans for the F-35. But even with an F-35 in its hands, the two countries still lack the advanced manufacturing know-how held in the US.
Just having some composite material used in the F-35’s jet engines wouldn’t necessarily allow China to create the materials at will. Just measuring the characteristics of the fuselage wouldn’t necessarily allow Russia to reliably manufacture airframes like the F-35’s on its own.
Read more: The US is ready to send in F-35s into combat if tensions with Russia and Syria boil over
The F-35’s stealth and performance represent a tiny portion of its worth to the US military. The rest lies in the networking, sensor fusion, and secure communications.
There, according to Bronk, the jet stands a chance against prying eyes.
“Samples or the ‘fibre mat’ stealth coating would be sought after,” Bronk said. “But the jet’s all-important software and programming would likely be hard to reconstruct given not only the likely damage from the crash and salt water in Pacific but also the way that the jet’s sensitive systems are designed to be very hard to decipher and reverse engineer to make it more suitable for export.”
Despite the US’s best efforts, Russia or China salvaging any part of the F-35 represents a US security nightmare.
“Both China and Russia have excellent reconstruction/reverse engineering/copying skills, particularly the Chinese as they are masters at it,” Deptula said.
Bronk and Deptula both agreed that in Moscow, Washington, Beijing, and Tokyo, the race is now on to find the fallen F-35 to either protect or undermine its future as the lynchpin of US and allied airpower.

Lockheed Martin said in a statement that it was standing by to support the Japanese Air Self Defense Force as needed.
The Pentagon said it was monitoring the situation.

An F-35A stealth fighter belonging to the Japan Air Self-Defence Force's (JASDF) fleet reportedly disappeared from radars on Tuesday, 135 kilometers (84 miles) east of the Misawa Air Base located in the country's northern Aomori prefecture.
The JASDF said Wednesday it has found what could be debris from the missing fighter jet, according to broadcaster NHK.
The incident took place during a training flight involving four F-35A fighters. One pilot was on board of the missing aircraft. The missing jet was reportedly the first F-35A assembled at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries facility in Nagoya.

Japanese Defence Minister Takeshi Iwaya announced Tuesday that Tokyo would ground the JASDF's whole fleet of F-35A stealth fighters in the wake of the incident.
In December, Japan announced its plans to buy an additional 105 F-35 aircraft to supplement its originally planned force of 42 F-35 jets, with the additional order's cost estimated to exceed 1 trillion yen (nearly $8.9 billion). The anticipated purchase makes Japan the largest international buyer of F-35 aircraft.

Last August, the nonprofit Project On Government Oversight (POGO) said that senior officials developing the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter for the US armed forces — the most expensive military program of all time — are covering up dangerous flaws in the plane instead of fixing them. In particular, the Center for Defense Information at POGO obtained a document showing how F-35 officials were re-categorizing rather than fixing major design flaws to be able to claim they had completed the program’s development phase without having to pay overruns for badly needed fixes.

Moreover, a report on the F-35 last year from the US Government Accountability Office showed that the aircraft still had 111 Category One deficiencies that may cause death, severe injury, loss or major damage and that critically restricted the combat readiness capabilities of armed forces using the aircraft, POGO noted.

Japan’s military has reportedly found what appears to be debris from the F-35A fighter jet that disappeared from radar with one pilot on board during a training mission over the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday evening.
The Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF) says it has found what could be debris from the F-35A plane that lost radar contact with ground control at Misawa Air Base during a routine training mission off the coast of Aomori Prefecture on Tuesday, broadcaster NHK reports. Coast Guard and Self-Defense Forces have been searching for the plane since it vanished. The fighter jet was flying with three others of the same make about 135km off the coast.

Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya grounded the Air Self-Defense Force’s entire fleet of F-35As as a precaution after the aircraft went missing at about 7:30pm local time, half an hour after taking off. At the same time the fighter disappeared from radar screens, ground control also lost all radio contact with the plane.
The craft that vanished was reportedly the first F-35A to be built at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries facility in Nagoya. In December, Japan announced its plans to place an order for 105 more F-35s from the US on top of the 42 it had already bought – a deal which would make Japan the largest international buyer of the troubled plane.
The F-35 is notoriously considered the most expensive US military program of all time, and a 2018 report by the Project on Government Oversight claimed that senior officials involved in developing the aircraft concealed dangerous flaws in its design instead of fixing them in order to avoid paying cost overruns on what was already an enormously expensive project. A 2018 Government Accountability Office report showed the plane had 111 Category One deficiencies that severely restricted its combat readiness, posing the risk of death, severe injury, loss or major damage.

A February report from the Pentagon further revealed that some of the F-35s' lifespan is nearly four times shorter than expected, and the firing accuracy of the fighter's guns is “unacceptable.” Worse, the number of operation-ready planes remained below 60 percent, and previously-uncovered cybersecurity “vulnerabilities” were still wide open.

Wreckage of crashed Japanese F-35 fighter jet found

Wreckage from a Japanese F-35 stealth fighter jet has been found, a day after it disappeared from radar over the Pacific Ocean.
The pilot of the plane, however, is still missing, Japanese military officials said.
Parts of the plane have been recovered during search operations at sea.
It is not known why the plane, which is less than a year old, lost contact and crashed.
"We have collected parts from the jet fighter's tail fin so we [believe] it crashed," Defence Minister Takeshi Iwaya told reporters.
The fighter jet went missing at 19:27pm (10:27 GMT) on Tuesday as it was flying 135km (84 miles) east of Misawa, a city in north-eastern Japan.
It lost contact about 30 minutes after taking off from the Misawa Air Base.
According to Mr Iwaya, the missing pilot had sent a signal to abort the mission. All communication with him was lost shortly after.
Rescue teams are continuing their search for the male pilot who is in his 40s, according to news site Kyodo.
No problems with the aircraft had previously been reported, according to Japan's public broadcaster NHK.
Japan has been deploying F-35s, which cost at least $90m (£68m), to replace its ageing F-4 fighter jet.
The country has now grounded its 12 remaining F-35 fighter jets at the Misawa base temporarily, said Mr Iwaya.
This is only the second time an F-35 has crashed since the jet began flying, according to Reuters.

TOKYO: Search and rescue teams found wreckage from a Japanese F-35 stealth fighter that crashed over the Pacific Ocean close to northern Japan, but the pilot remains missing, authorities said on Wednesday (Apr 10).
The aircraft, less than one-year-old, was the first F-35 to be assembled in Japan and was only in the air for 28 minutes on Tuesday, a defence official said.

It is only the second F-35 to crash in the two-decades it has been flying.
The advanced, single-seat jet was flying about 135 km east of the Misawa air base in Aomori Prefecture at about 7.27 pm (6.27pm, Singapore time) on Tuesday, when it disappeared from radar, the Air Self Defense Force said.
"We recovered the wreckage and determined it was from the F-35," a spokesman for the Air Self Defence Force (ASDF) said, adding that the pilot of the aircraft was still missing.
The aircraft was at the front of a group of four planes out for training manoeuvres when it sent an "aborting practice" signal and then disappeared from the radar, Defence Minister Takeshi Iwaya told reporters.

"We'll need to cooperate with the US forces and I believe arrangements are being made for this," Iwaya said, adding the priority was on determining the cause of the accident.
Japan has a total of 13 F-35s, including the one that crashed. The crashed aircraft was the fifth F-35 delivered to the ASDF, but the first assembled by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan, a second ASDF official told Reuters.
The previous four aircraft had been used for training in the United States before being brought to Japan, the defence official said.
A representative for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries said the company had no immediate comment. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd assembles the aircraft at a plant near Nagoya in central Japan. Each costs around US$100 million, slightly more than the cost of buying a fully assembled plane.
The aircraft had been in the air for 28 minutes when contact was lost, the official said. The pilot had 3,200 hours of flight time, with 60 hours on the F-35, the official said.
The aircraft crashed in waters that reach a depth of around 1,500 metres, making recovery difficult, the official said.
ONLY SECOND F-35 TO CRASH
The aircraft was less than a year old and was delivered to the ASDF in May last year, the ASDF spokesman said. Japan's first squadron of F-35s has just become operational at Misawa and the government plans to buy 87 of the stealth fighters to modernise its air defences as China's military power grows.
The crash marks only the second time an F-35 has gone down since the plane began flying almost two decades ago. It was also the first crash of an A version of the fifth-generation fighter, which is designed to penetrate enemy defences by evading radar detection.
Lockheed Martin, which manufactures the aircraft, said it was standing by to support the Japanese Air Self Defence Force as needed. The Pentagon said it was monitoring the situation.

TOKYO — The Japanese military said on Wednesday that it had found parts of a fighter jet that crashed into the Pacific on a training exercise, but that the pilot was still missing.
The warplane, an F-35A, disappeared over the waters east of Aomori Prefecture on the northern part of Honshu, Japan’s largest island, on Tuesday.
Japan’s air force said on Wednesday that it had found parts of the plane’s tail, the public broadcaster NHK reported.
Four aircraft had been conducting a drill on Tuesday when communications with the F-35 were cut off and the plane disappeared from radar, Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya told reporters on Wednesday morning. The missing pilot was the plane’s sole crew member, he said.

“We will do our utmost to save his life,” Mr. Iwaya said.
Japan’s 12 remaining F-35A jet fighters based at Misawa Air Base in Aomori were grounded and a panel was set up to determine the cause of the crash, Mr. Iwaya added.
The plane took off from Misawa at 6:59 p.m. on Tuesday and contact was lost at 7:27 p.m., the Ministry of Defense said in a statement. Some debris from the plane was found at 9:45 p.m., it said.
Last year, the United States temporarily grounded its fleet of about 220 F-35s made by the defense contractor Lockheed Martin after a crash in September. Initial data indicated problems with a fuel tube that may have contributed to that accident. The pilot ejected safely and survived.

The F-35 is one of the most expensive weapons programs in history, with a price tag of $80 million to more than $100 million per plane. While it has seen several technical problems, the crash last year was the first for the United States military in the 17-year history of the program.
Last year, Japan said it planned to buy 105 F-35s in addition to 42 it had already approved, which would make it the biggest buyer of the fighter after the United States. The fighter jet that crashed Tuesday was the first to be completed at a final assembly plant in Aichi Prefecture in 2017, NHK reported.

Hisako Ueno reported from Tokyo and Austin Ramzy from Hong Kong.

The day after it disappeared from the radar over the Pacific Ocean, the remnants of a Japanese F-35A stealth fighter were found, the country's defense minister said Wednesday.

Defense Minister Iwaya Takeshi said that he did not yet talk about the fate of one pilot on the jet.

"I've gathered some of the tails in the sea and sea search operations," Iwaya told reporters.

"We believe it crashed," he added.

The fighters went missing every Tuesday at 7:30 pm (1030 GMT) as it flew approximately 135 kilometers east of Misawa in northeastern Japan for training missions.

The plane lost contact about half an hour after taking off with the other three aircraft from Misawa Airfield.

Japan has introduced F-35A, but each F-35A will cost more than 10 billion yen as a substitute for the aging F-4 fighter.

According to defense officials, Jet was one of thirteen F-35 deployed at the base.

According to the Department of Defense, the remaining 12 F-35A fighters are grounded for the time being.

qQwc-hvntnkp9983237.jpg

Japan's F35 became a 10-day crash, and the prophecy of Zhang Zhaozhong became a reality.

According to Japanese NHK TV news, local time on April 9th at 7:27 pm, a Japanese Air Self-Defense Force F-35A stealth fighter, lost contact with the base during the night training mission and disappeared on the radar screen. It is reported that this F-35A, which is equipped with a pilot from the 3rd Air Force, finally appeared on the high seas about 135 kilometers northeast of Sanze City, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and it is very likely that it has crashed. So far, the Ministry of Defense has announced that the entire F-35A has temporarily suspended its flight and has launched an urgent investigation into the matter. The Maritime Self-Defense Force and the Coast Guard also rushed out, sending a large number of rescue aircraft and surface ships to rush to the sea area for rescue operations.
10 days before the accident, the F-35A squadron just announced that the F-35A squadron had just announced its military formation 10 days before the accident.
The story of the F-35A disappearance and the anime "Mobile Police" theatrical version of "Peace Defender" is very similar. The story of the F-35A disappearance and the anime "Mobile Police" theatrical version of "Peace Defender" is very similar.

It is reported that the missing F-35A belongs to the 302th Squadron of the 3rd Air Force of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and is stationed at the Sanze Air Force Base in the northern part of Honshu Island not far from the incident. The base has been receiving since the beginning of 2018. The first F-35A is expected to eventually deploy 12. One very interesting thing is that it was on March 29th, 10 days ago, that the 302nd Squadron, the first stealth fighter squadron in Japan, was officially formed at the Sanze Air Force Base. This means that the squadron has just set off a disgraceful record that took only 10 days from Chengjun to the first flight of the fighter, and became the first crash in Japan after the announcement of the change of the year.
The accident site is located over 135 kilometers northeast of Sanze City, Aomori Prefecture, and is located over 135 kilometers northeast of Sanze City, Aomori Prefecture.

Prior to this, due to a F-35B vertical take-off and landing aircraft belonging to the US Marine Corps, the engine tubing failure occurred on September 28, 2018, local time, at the Beaufort Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina, USA. nearby. Therefore, the F-35A of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force also missed the first record of the F-35 series, and it can only be regarded as the second F-35 fighter aircraft that crashed in the world. However, despite this, the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force also hit the world's first F-35A crash, Japan's first stealth fighter crash, East Asia's first stealth fighter crash, the first stealth fighter crash in the Asia-Pacific region, and even the first overseas The crashed F-35 fighters and many other firsts.
Japan's 14th F-35A has completed its first flight, Japan's 14th F-35A has completed its first flight

In addition, some friends may be curious. Is the F-35A in this crash not a stealth fighter? Why did it appear on the radar screen before it crashed? In fact, this situation is directly related to the "Longbo lens" we have always mentioned. Because stealth fighters such as the F-22, F-35, and 歼-20 are designed to cover up their true radar reflections and ensure flight safety, they need to be mounted for daily training to amplify the radar waves and reflect them. Go back to the "Longbo Lens" to actively expose yourself. In this case, the ground air traffic control radar can easily find these fighters with excellent stealth capability. The Japanese F-35A that was wrecked is no exception.
Longbo lens equipped on F-35 stealth fighter, Longbo lens equipped on 2 F-35 stealth fighters on the back of the machine, 2 on the back of the machine

Closer to home, the crash was a serious blow to the squadron of the squadron of the newborn, or to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, which had just begun to receive the F-35A in batches and intends to introduce the F-35B. For the United States, which has been closely targeting the Asia-Pacific region, the series of accidents within a half-year period will inevitably have an adverse impact on the foreign trade and delivery process of this model. What makes them feel like needles is that if the F-35A, which is wrecked on the high seas, cannot be found and recycled in the first place, there is a risk of leakage of sensitive information, which is why the US is getting Japanese defense.
