Non fuel components include over-building gas pipes? WHite elephant infrastructure? The PAP must come clean with this. Break down the non-fuel components.
Must ask EMC (Energy Market Company) and PSO (Power System Operator).

This means they are passing their costs due to inefficiencies to us!
The irony is that natural gas makes 80% of electricity and natural gas prices have been plunging over the last 3 years. Yet they peg our elec tariffs to oil!!
30% of Singapore's electrical power is generated by fuel oil.......70% comes from natural gas......tariff is totally pegged to oil. This doesn't make sense. .....Honest? Ethical?
Chew on these.

how they get the usd 102 oil figure when in the past 12 months, oil never even hit usd 80????
They usually average your electricity bill, before Hari Raya's, Dewali ( Deepavali), Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year. Then certain months, they take meter readings, usually their average is higher than you use & for 3 months, they would collected more than usual from you & 'they adjust' what they had taken, in comparison to your usage. Then they average the bill again....
If you use GIRO, you have already "top up"...Stink Power cash account..."HUAT"! ah!... that is why GIRO in Chinese is 才路, their 才路, not yours. Anyway, your money is your own hand, take care of it..if possible, cancel all 才路, theirs of course!!
However, the non-fuel components of the tariff have increased due to higher capital and operating costs of power generation.
The tariff also includes an adjustment for under-collection in the previous quarter.
Only in Singapore, this kind of monopoly entity can make such claim.
They under-collected last quarter, then collect back with interest this quarter.
They run inefficiently and incur high operating cost, the suka suka increase the unit cost.
Who know hey even cover for their loses in Australia power.
