Electric car catches fire while charging, killing 2 in Vietnam’s Thanh Hoa Province​

An electric car burst into flames while charging in a three-story house on Wednesday night, claiming the lives of two people in Sam Son City under Thanh Hoa Province in north-central Vietnam.
Hoang Thang Giap, chairman of the People’s Committee of the city’s Trung Son Ward, confirmed the deadly fire on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as L.T.C., 63, and her grandchild named L.T.T.Tr., 5.C. and Tr. were sleeping on the first floor of their house on Xuan Phu Street at 11:45 pm on Wednesday when a fire erupted, according to the preliminary investigation results.

Locals and firefighters quickly approached the scene to put out the blaze but failed to save the victims.

The massive fire was caused by a suspected explosion from the charging battery that powered an electric car, according to police in the city.
Police officers are continuing to investigate the blaze.

Don't blame the car... it cld be house wiring cable for 13 amp only. If the car charger is plug in it take more than 13 amp of current it will melt or burn the wires and the whole house caught fire.
