Does MSM "only the good stuff" reporting kill??

It looks like the Woodlands killer had serially attacked women for months before he was caught after killing at least one individual. In a society with an open media and an active citizenry, the first couple of attacks would have raised the alert and galvanized the local population to take action. This might have led to the early apprehension of the culprit before it was too late.

Instead, the local media which concentrates on printing press releases and only good news about SG and bad news about other countries, chose to limit its coverage about what was going on....Can we as Singaporeans afford to depend on a mainstream media that is so cavalier about the lives of Singaporeans??

SINGAPORE: A National Serviceman accused of slashing a woman to death in Woodlands last month, now faces three additional charges of attempted murder.

He allegedly slashed and injured three other women between January and May this year.

Soh Wee Kian looked dazed when the additional charges were read out to him in court on Friday.

In September, he was charged with the murder of 32-year-old clerk Hoe Hong Lin at a basketball court at Woodlands Drive 50.

He will be remanded for a psychiatric evaluation at the Changi Prison Complex Medical Centre and will be back in court on November 19. - CNA/fa
