Do you have a problem?

That was what the entire "Priority" queue at BKK Airport heard at 4.30pm when a Singaporean raised his voice at the immigration officer at the counter. From his accent and his red passport, I could tell he was Singaporean. I ashamedly hid my passport from view of others in the queue, trying my best to distance myself from him. His poor girlfriend (or wife?), scooted off when the officer waved her by but motioned to the irate man, dressed in a red polo t-shirt and khaki berms, to stay put.

She then called her supervisor. He banged the counter with his right hand and snorted at her.
I first noticed him when he stood with arms akimbo at an unopened queue. Apparently waiting for it to be opened to fast track his partner and himself while the others waited patiently in line.

The officer at the still unopened queue, looked to him to be taking her time. He looked more impatient as she continued to ignore him behind the counter. Didn't she know he was an important person?
Finally, she opened the counter and he rushed to the front. I myself was secretly strategizing how to slip a few places forward myself until I heard the "Do you have a problem?" in the very familiar Singaporean-English accent. I turned to see what was transpiring...

If the Sinkie, ugly or otherwise, has a problem, he/she should go to Hong Lim Park to vent his/her anger. There's one coming up on May 1?

Do you see these episodes often when you travel? Being in Thailand most of the time people don't raise their voice or blare their car horns.

Are there worse ? I was embarrassed because he was obviously in the wrong, threatening the poor officer with his aggression and threats to see the manager. I would certainly not like Singaporeans to be associated with that kind of behaviour!
