I found out this today and this might be interesting for your readers.
Why our Bus and Taxi service company ComfortDelGro/SBS Transit gives free bus services in the UK to the older and disabled, where as here in Singapore, it is not free to similar groups of people? Why the double standards? To slap on our faces they earn money from old senior Singaporeans and disabled people in Singapore to give free rides to the people in the UK.
This can only happened in Singapore.

Editor's Note: The reason might be due to the regulations by the authorities in the UK and also competition with other bus companies in the UK and the lack of competition on bus services in Singapore. Giving free rides to senior citizen in the UK might actually allow them to attract more customers since their family would travel with them.
