Former DPM Wong clarifies on the bidding process for Sentosa Cove:
http://wp.sg/2013/05/clarifications-by-wp-mps-on-fmss-during-town-councils-debate-in-parliament/
On Chua's and Ho Bee's alleged party affiliations and preferential treatment:
"None of Ho Bee's shareholders and directors are PAP members and Ho Bee is not a PAP-owned company. Ho Bee was engaged based on its directors’ experience in property development, professional skills and track record in building Bishan Hougang Town Council. One of the directors of Ho Bee was the former General Manager of Bishan Town Council."
On Sentosa Cove contract tendering process:
"In 2007, the PAP government issued an open tender for a new Sentosa Cove contract. There were three companies that picked up the tender documents, but only Ho Bee submitted a tender. The PAP government was aware of its duties when dealing with a sole tenderer, and that the the PAP government needed to ensure value for money for its residents. The PAP government had also commissioned a special external audit of the tender award as an additional assurance of compliance and good governace practices, and that steps had been taken to ensure value for money."
No wonder WP, the self-styled "First World Opposition", was so deafening silent on this issue for so many years......as they had already known and accepted the PAP reasons long ago, and subsequently plagiarised and recyled it for their own use...
