A FORMER youth grassroots leader who hugged a 14-year-old girl in a hotel room two years ago was fined $2,000 on Wednesday. David Chee Dah Wei, 29, a financial planner, had earlier pleaded guilty to molesting the girl, who is now 16, at Hotel 81 Kovan in Upper Serangoon Road, on June 4, 2007.
He was then a vice-chairman of the Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club Youth Executive Committee.
