A Chinese woman who was diagnosed with cancer gave up her life so that her baby could be born. And this has created a debate in China.
Qiu Yuanyuan, 26, was a Chinese television presenter and came from the central province of Henan
She found out that she was pregnant in March.
But she was also diagnosed with late-stage cancer in the womb.
However, so as to keep her baby, she decided not to go for chemotherapy.
But because of that, the cancer cells started to spread.
In September, Ms Qiu fell even sicker and had to go to the hospital.
It was then that she gave birth to her son, Niannian.
However, Ms Qiu died a 100 days after her child was born.
According to Chinese tradition, this was supposed to be a special occasion to celebrate but it was not to be.
Chinese netizens took to Sina Weibo to discuss her sacrifice.

"It's not a beautiful thing if a child is born with no care and love from its natural mother," one netizen said.
Another added, "I don't think it's good to give up on living, even if the mother's love is great."
Some made even harsher comments.
"Leaving a little life alone in the world, such a heartless mother."
However, Ms Qiu's actions found understanding among other netizens.
"Even chemotherapy cannot cure cancer, can it? So she chose this way, wise and helpless," a netizen commented.
But no matter what it is, "Mother's love is so great," said another.
However, no matter how the debate goes, Ms Qiu had made a sacrifice so that her baby could come into this world.
And only a mother would understand why another would do a thing like this and how deep a mother's love can be.
