Hundreds evacuated in huge fire at People's Park Complex

STOMPer Ernest sent in this photo of a fire at People's Park Complex along Eu Tong Sen Street which broke at about 4pm today (April 21).
The fire started from a fifth floor storeroom in the building.
Said the STOMPer:
"I saw smoke coming out of People's Park Complex."
STOMPer izzymomo, who also saw the fire, said:
"It happened either on the 4th or 5th floor. The fire is huge now!"
Another witness, STOMPer Nam, said:
"I took some photos of the fire from my office at New Bridge Centre.
"New Bridge Road (towards city) is closed to traffic except for buses."
Latest update from SCDF:
"The fire involved contents of a storeroom located on the fifth floor.
"People from podium shopping levels were evacuated by the building management.
"There were no injuries."
