A man in China has recently unlocked a new fear amongst people who like to wear wireless earphones to sleep.

The young fellow, who goes by the online pseudonym, Xiaoyong, told Chinese news aggregator, Houlang video that it all started on Apr. 6 when he decided to go to bed with his earphones on.
However, when he woke up from his sleep at around 3am the next day to use the toilet, he noticed one of the earphones had gone missing.

The man then started to play some music in the hopes of locating the missing piece sooner, only to find that the music was coming from inside his belly.

Xiaoyong immediately paid a visit to the hospital at around 4am, and his X-ray report confirmed that the earphone was indeed inside his abdomen.

While waiting at the hospital, the man made a video to document his unusual encounter and played music via his earphone again to explain to his audience what had happened.
A trending song on Douyin -- the Chinese equivalent of TikTok -- could be heard coming from inside his body.

Next course of action

According to Xiaoyong, he planned to retrieve his earphone by taking drugs that would help him empty his bowel.
In the event that it doesn't go through as planned, Xiaoyong said he would then have the device removed from his intestines via surgery instead.
