Fake call centre engaged in male prostitution busted in Delhi; mastermind arrested

While the mastermind of the racket, a Delhi University graduate who owned the call centre, has been arrested, eight women who worked as telecallers to induce people to pay, have been served notices.
FAKE CALL CENTRE BUSTED
A case was registered acting on a complaint filed by a man who alleged that he had been defrauded of Rs 70,000 (US $895) in a clandestine manner in which he was offered a job of 'call boy' or gigolo. The fraudster cheated him in the name of registration as gigolo, booking and advance.During the investigation, it was found that the beneficiary Paytm account was used for getting defrauded money. On the basis of technical surveillance, the location was traced and a raid was conducted in Avantika, Rohini, Delhi.
From the spot, police seized 12 basic keypad mobile phones, one android phone and notebooks used in the commission of offence.
MODUS OPERANDI
The call centre was being run for selling sexual power enhancement pills and spray and, in the garb of this, they were duping people, inducing them to join gigolo service.The kingpin, identified as Mehtab, had employed 8 women for calling and giving advertisements on porn websites. The female callers used to dial random numbers and ask people to have some medication for enhancing sexual power.
If anyone claimed his virility and vigour were great and that they did not require any such medication, the callers used to ask them to join gigolo service offering handsome remuneration and thereafter dupe the person in the name of registration as gigolo, booking and advance.
