She had been drinking all night long and at about 8am, fell off the four-storey Armadale condominium near Novena. Sarah Kate Royle died three days later at Tan Tock Seng Hospital of head injuries.
At a coroner inquiry on Wednesday, investigating officer Mohd Zhafrie Jalil shed light on the Briton's movements prior to the fall on June 24, 2010.
This was mostly through the photographs in her camera found in her handbag at the scene of the fall.
The staff-sergeant said that Royle arrived here on June 19, 2010, from Australia. It is believed that the 31-year-old had worked in pubs and restaurants there for about a year.
She checked into a backpackers' hostel on Banda Street in the Chinatown district.
On the evening of June 23, 2010, she and another backpacker went to a nearby pub to watch the England football team take on Slovenia in the World Cup Final.
There, she met Mr Lawrence Duckett and his friends and watched England win the game.
