several foreigners trapped on hiking trails and tunnels.

About 60 of the approximately 77 people trapped after an earthquake struck Taiwan Wednesday are caught in the Jinwen Tunnel in northern Hualien County, Taiwan's National Fire Agency (NFA) said. Separately, 15 people are trapped in the Dachingshui Tunnel, also in northern Hualien County, NFA said, adding that another two were trapped in a third tunnel.

Condolences to the victims families of this tragedy, & wish a speedy recovery for those injured & anyone else still trapped in the rubbles be found,..

Priority:-

1.
The govt will have to engage the various National meteorological & seismology depts using instruments to determine if the tectonic plates are stable already or not as aftershocks may happen. as well as the weather situation if rains will be forthcoming as it may cause further landslides on unstable mountain or hillsides, so that citizens will be forewarned to take necessary precautions.

2.Many citizens would be displaced from homes, or even fear returning to homes & some would have no stable homes to return to. Thus the govt & provincial governors must set up safe area open land Tent cities with shelter, water & portable toilets for the citizens. Schools & large community spaces would be best, but as aftershocks & landslides may persist, open land tent cities would be best.

3. Food & water would be critically needed, as electricity & water supply which may had been destroyed by the quakes. Immediate attention would be needed to repair such supply lines, to be up & running as soon as possible.

4. Police or military forces will have to be sent to destroyed habitation areas, cordon it off to prevent anyone from entering - to either return to their homes to live, or to pilfer from others home.

5. Heavy machineries & CO-ORDINATED rescue teams will be needed to assist in removing rubble, to save those whom may be trapped within, & will have to be airlifted to such sites if the roads are destroyed.

6. 7 Billion Humankind will help our fellow Humans in Taiwan, in cash or in kind. Thus the govt will have to list out WHICH are the listed charity orgs that Humanity will send to, to prevent precious hard earned funds being misused or scammed by the unconscionable whom will see it as a opportunity to get rich. So too must prices of goods & services be kept rational, to prevent others from profiting over another's misery.

The scale of the disaster is yet unknown as report trickles in, but a 7.6 magnitude Earthquake is not hard to comprehend....

Taiwan WILL NOT stand alone in their hour of need.....

Aren’t earthquakes these days part of climate change? So who has Taiwan double crossed this time? Not so long ago Turkey had a similar earthquake
